Tempest Wrath.....

I used Tempest Wrath on my Rune Priest this weekend for Ard Boyz, along with Living Lightning. I must say that it was a GREAT psychic power.

I originally tossed it in my list expecting at least one BA player, however it was extremely effective against a Chaos SM army and of course a Chaos Demon army. I do think it has become a staple power now for my Rune Priest with switching out Living Lightning for JotWW when needed.

Anyone else have as much success with it?

I used tempest wrath and stormcaller on my runepriest at ard boyz this weekend. I started running my rune priest in a LR and he never got to shoot LL or JOTWW much at all. So I switch and I found that those powers ROCKED!!.... A true support power. There are plenty of guns in my army, but those two powers did something I couldn't do with something else.

I played my first BA player tonight...and my Rune Priest got 2 perils in 4 tests. It was ridiculous. What was worse was that the second one happened because of Mephiston psychic hood'ing my guy.

Other then that It would have been great, because he would have kept his troops completely away from me lol.

How does getting psychic "hooded" cause a perils of the warp?

Psychic hood stopped the power from going off. since I had master of runes, and could thus do two psychic powers in a turn,I decided to try Tempest wrath again....And this time not only did I get a perils of the warp and die,It got canceled by the Psychic hood as well.

Needless to say I was not amused...

Sorry to dig up such an old post but I need a clarification concerning this power...

When using Tempest's Wrath vs. Tau, how exactly does this affect the Tau Jet Packs / Skimmers?

Would the packs take dangerous terrain tests when moving on both the movement phase and their 6" assault phase move? Does it only matter if they end in the 24" bubble... what about if they are moving out of it?

Can someone please clarify the workings of this in regards to Tau, it is something I have hotly debated with my friend who plays Tau and would make a big difference in whether I use this power again...
