A Wolf I Can Relate With

I began playing 40k back in the days of Squats and When Assault Cannons used sustained fire dice. Through all these years 2 things have remained constant in my 40k mindset.

1. I have always loved the Sons of Russ

2. I have always detested all things Eldar.

So when the new codex came out I began reading with enthusiasm and I found this blurb about one of the Current Wolf Lords, Where it discuss that Gunnar Redmoon killed so many Eldar it stained the planet crimson. A Wolf after my own Heart I have begun making my interpretation of Gunnar.

Is the Axe too big?

Should I switch to the sword from the Terminator box?

Is the Axe too big?

I am sorry Brother,I don't understand the question?

Is my Mead horn too full?

Do I have too many bullets?

Are there too many half naked Bolter Babes in this hot tub?

These questions make as much sense as yours does Brother...I feel that is the best Answer I can give.

I am contemplating making this my signature, I fell out of my chair laughing at this.

They Errata'd TDA Lords and TDA Battle Leaders allowing them to have Frost weapons.

The axe head is from the black orc fantasy box and the arm is a Thunder hammer arm in the Wolf Terminator Box set.

aw man, I was just looking for that thing too.. Don't know where I put it.

I'm afraid he's right. I could not have said that any better myself. Coming from orks since when I started to play several years ago, and loving wolves because theyre...well orks in power armor, I can say, nothing is ever too big...axe too big? that model just may smack you upside the head brother...but its ok. It happens.

1) This is one the best responses i have seen to a question in a long time.

2) this also illistrates why i am happy to be a wolf.

3) the axe is awesome

Brother, I'll stand next to you in battle any day. Someone get this guy another round.

There is no sweeter sound to the ears then the accolades of your battle-brothers.

And now that I know where that Axe comes from,I definitely think that it will be the Frost Weapon that one of my Thunderwolf Cav models will carry. I would put it on my Wolf Lord, but I have this evil Plot involving a spear for him.

i'd actually go for a frost blade instead of an axe, a swords much better to parry strokes etc+ at the moment he reminds me of grimnar a bit, but that's just my opinion

God no, that hatchet is much better. Plus, if his axe is smaller than everyone else's then he might feel insecure. It would be even worse if he was the only guy in his army with a sword.

Just read this thread, Love it, the model (over all else) and the battle brothers. Can't wait for the finished.

Oh, and in answer to your axe question: He's a Space Wolf, it's an Axe, in his mind there is no such concept as 'too big' :P

::EDIT:: this conversation was so damn awesome I had to sig it :D

Parry strokes? They couldn't swing around that axe head :D Besides, who needs to parry when you're the one doing the swinging? ;)

Max_Dammit; your Kustom-bike may me smile :P Is that axe his pocket one for tight situations?
