Well now, that's what I get for being a bonehead. I had a good thread started, hit preview, forgot I hit preview, and closed my browser before posting! Ack! Oh well, so here is take 2. ACTION!

Anyway, awhile back I cleaned out my miniature storage closet and realized I had way too many unpainted miniatures laying around. So I decided that this eyar I'm going to cut that backlog down at least in half if not further. Most of these miniatures do not fall under the auspices of this website so if you want updates on everything you'll have to check out my blog (listed in my signature). Of course, I still have to prepare for tournament season 2011 where I'll be attending Adepticon and BoLScon with my Iron Snakes. So this should be a fun year (considering it's already half over with).

The miniatures below are done to the point that I am happy putting them on a shelf at the present time. I'm starting this thread in the WIP section because, as everyone will obviously notice, they are not finished miniatures by any stretch of the word. None of the models stands upon a completed base and most of them require quite a bit of freehand work before I would consider them "done". Regardless, here are the pictures. If anyone wants to see more pictures of specific miniatures please let me know.

I admit the sage was the most fun to paint and his stark contrast between metal and flesh really makes him stand out.

The Scythes captain was the easiest to paint and he turned out pretty good too. I'll post more of him when I get home later today and I'm not typing on a cell phone.

In case anyone is wondering what I'm working on now I have a lamenters terminator librarian in the works.

Loving these guys my friend. The mystic is a very good one, one of the better versions of that retinue character I've seen :)

And thank you. Thank you for not doing the "I've put my head in an ink bucket and poured hotsauce in my eyes" salamander.. That is the thing that buggs me about my father chapter.

Cheers!

@Alexander - I've always loved the Salamander fluff but I really hate the obsidian skin with fiery red eyes. I did intend to paint a darker skin tone but unfortunately I whipped myself into such a flesh painting frenzy that I whirled through about 6 figures at once before I realized what I painted the salamander a bit too light. So I put an extra shadow on the face to try and make it look grittier. It helped a little I guess.

Oh...I really like that Captain, great job

What's next?

I have a Lamenter's Terminator Librarian I'm working on. Unfortunately it looks like life is about to delay that effort as I may have to go out of town for family matters. Regardless, I plan to keep this thread around and keep throwing miniatures in it as I finish. Just know that it may be a little while until I post anything new.
