Land Speeders?

Main tip - don't forget to magnetise it during its assembly so You can switch between all variants.

I disagree that they are hard to assemble - mine was easy after watching the BoW video on YouTube

But I agree that if You make a smallest error, they die pretty easy

I've found they're pretty effective in spite of being pretty fragile; you just have to be smart about how you use them. I tend to use the Typhoon variant most of the time, armed with a secondary multi-melta. The missiles plus the melta make it a very versatile platform. Like Jeremy1391 said, these excel at fast, long range fire support.

I didn't find the model hard to assemble, either. Probably b/c I've been building model airplanes most my life, and I'm used to shoddy instructions...

Magnetizing is a must, too. You can usually come by the rare earth magnets at any hobby shop, and they're not too expensive.

Ive been trying to shoehorn them into my lists latly and will need to convert them to my flavor.

Typhoon, two of them, with bolters

just keep them at range and fire the krak but if you need to drop troops you can fire the frag (now a defencive wep) AND the bolter.

the only merit I see in upgrading to a melta is that if the typhoon launchers get shot off you still have teeth to crack a tank. but I prefer to save the points.

They may be fragile, but they can be cheap enough and pack enough punch that your opponent will either waste units shooting at them or else leave them alive to take down his bigger units. Every unit that is shooting your land speeder isn't shooting at your wolf lord... And when he decides not to shoot at the land speeder with multi-melta attached, that's when you swoop in and short-range his land raider into a crater...

Typhoon w/MM for me. Sits behind terrain during deployment with a decent fire lane, and pops off 2 krak missles a shot. If I need the melta i'll move up to withing 24". Honestly though...those meltas are saved for something coming to me most of the time. What I really like though is should I need it, I can move 6" and fire 3 shots that are str 8 two of which are ap3 and one ap1.
