Sienna
http://s949.photobucket.com/albums/ad337/d...nt=DSC_0018.jpg This is my first prototype paint scheme for my all Sanguinary guard army. Hopefully my shipment of 6 more boxes will come in time for me to have an entire army built and painted. I am struggling with what do do about the flocking and base. Let me know what you think. daboarder
Nice painting. As for the base I recomend setting him up on a peice of CoD and then add sand to the base.
igotsmeakabob!!
I like what you did with the wings, though I can't imagine them looking very.. NOT awkward from behind.
biglou666
like the scheme, except the blue, i think its a bit too deep. try going for some mordian blue, then just touch the edges of the detail with ice blue. perfect blue detail every time. no wash. but yeah, like the gold, but the blue is a bit to..... clashy imo. JamesI
Nice work so far, looks good. Not sure about the blue color either, but not sure how well a plain white would look against the gold.
Jarakin
I actually think a few heavy-ish drybrushes of skull white over the blue would look nice - a white with blue in the recesses could come up really nice.

I agree with Jarakin and actually did that with my own test model: http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j165/spagunk/army%20completed/SGtest2.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j165/spagunk/army%20completed/SGtest5.jpg

Sienna
Thanks for the kind words. I will try drybrushing some skull white as suggested. I will also post a rear view when I get home. The wings don't look to akward from the back IMO and I really like the spread wings look.
Sienna
Warriors 3. http://s949.photobucket.com/albums/ad337/d...nt=DSC_0026.jpg Ok now have 3 finished models. One with deep blue feathers/trim 1 with light blue and Dante with pure white. Which do you guys like best? also here is a back picture as you can see the wings of the guy on the left are not that awkward. http://s949.photobucket.com/albums/ad337/d...nt=DSC_0027.jpg
V Dubbed
Paint Job: yes Re-Positioned wings: yes! Red Wings instead of the standard white: Absolutely! Swooping Hawk wings: Not so much.... But to answer your question... while the blue details added an interesting contrast, the model in the centre looks the best (the one with the standard wings and the white details) It might be the most cookie-cutter of the bunch, but the gold, red and blue just weren't jiving together and the swooping hawk wings.... well, i'm personally not a fan. Just my two cents!
