sword brethren Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 im making my iron warriors chosen and i have decided to go with 4 chosen and a champion. i need a big nid busting unit and a imperial guard tank busting unit. so i am going for 4 meltas. the one problem i am having is what to give the champion, if i have read it correctly i can add another melta, making 5 meltas, im not sure whether that would be productive what are people equiping their chosen with out there? thanks SB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

minigun762 Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 I don't think a Champion is worth it for a 5 man squad. I'd need at least 8 guys before I invested in one. For 5 guys, I would either go with 3/2 or 4/1 Melta/Flamers. The reason for the Flamer(s) is that sometimes you'll Outflank next to an infantry unit and only packing Meltaguns will limit what you can do and going from 5 to 4 or 3 Meltaguns isn't a huge loss for busting tanks.
