Chaos Tattoos

Recommended Posts

Gotta agree with some of these guys, do what you want, but realise that having visible tattoos can effect jobs etc.

Me, well, my first ever tattoo is my fav out of the 3 i have.

good thing about the placement, no one can see it unless I take my top off, bad thing is, I cant see it without a mirror....

I like the placement of my MOK it can not be seen with a shirt with a collar on and when wearing a t-shirt I have both discussions sorted the one for people I don't wanna talk too goes

"whats that tattoo on your neck"

"The Skull rune of the Blood god KHORNE"

"wha.."

"Blood for the BLOOD GOD"

*person leaves because they think I am crazy*

and If its somewhat I don't want thinking I am crazy

"whats that tattoo on your neck?"

"oh its a old Heiroglyph from <insert random old nation> that I seen while on holiday in <said country/region>

"Oh that's really cool and such, any idea what it means?"

"Something to do with Martial Pride and the thrill of battle"

so yeah it works

HOWEVER One day I had a hot chick come up to me and whisper in my ear "Blood for the Blood god" while I was sitting at the Bus Depo then we went for coffee and ended dating her for a while. SCORE having a epic nerd tattoo paid off lol.

Haha nice daydreaming there! =)

Me myself have a couple of different tattoes on different places on my body (Not warhammer related though). One bigger piece on my lower left arm, one visable on my neck and they have never getting in my way for getting a job or anything like that.

Id rather tattoo something explainable and reasonable that means something to me than a little butterfly surrounded by tribals or some other crap.

Aye, I sometimes explain my chaos star as something that means more then just this normal life we have, be it religion, fate, god or what ever else you believe in, of course when I'm playing 40k and roll well I blame that on the tattoo too :D

Best advice I can give for getting a tattoo, is to decide on a design, then make a big poster of it and stick it where you will see it loads of times during the day. If after 6months you still like the design, get it. IF you cant wait 6 months before getting a tattoo, then id wonder if you really wanted it :P

GENIUS!!! I am getting the Chaos stars this week (all this talk prompted me to finally do it). My wife suggested I get one star and one symbol of Khorne. Now I might just get the Khorne symbol inside the stars.

Glad i found a thread like this. As there appears to be no Imperial equivalent, here's some (admittedly old) Tat pics.

I have more now.

Prepare to be purged, deviants.;)

Actually I've seen topics like this on and off on here I just asked here as I am looking to do something chaos specific rather then a general 40k or SM job. Thank you all for the advice. I am looking at an easily hidden spot and will post something more up to date. My fiancee and I are both looking at getting some work done so its more of waiting on each other.

All this talk about 40k tattoos (a friend of mine is getting the imperal aquila on his back soon too) really makes me want another tattoo, and i would really love the mark of nurgle, having used nurgle dedicated forces since a few months after 3.5 codex, however, isn't this tempting fate? I'm sure the mark of nurgle would get infected if i got it....

Way back when, just after I turned 18, I got my first tat. Just a simple MoK on my right arm. A year later I got the star of chaos on my left arm, it was really simple, but it did what it was supposed to at the time... Fast forward several years, for my 30th birthday I decided to splurge on some more ink. The chaos star got completely reworked, and was joined by some "friends". It's still WIP and needs to be finished, but I love the way it looks for now.

And yes, I have a VERY good job...

I have the Eye of Horus on my left shoulder. I need to get it touched up and might add my legion number in roman numerals. It looks good and speaks volumes to anyone who plays the game, while being easy to cover up. If anyone I don't want to know the truth asks I just tell them its an old symbol for Chaos. I have a good job, just make sure its somewhere you can cover up...
