Bix
Anyone know a little more about the Adepta Sororitas Hospitaller Order of Serenity? Looking for any reference to colour scheme, markings and associated fluff as Im thinking of having some attached to my SM battle group. I know they originate from Ophelia VII and that James Swallow (spits) featured a Sister Verity from the order in Faith and Fire, though I haven't read it. Ta very muchly :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202088-order-of-serenity/ Share on other sites
Bix
I'll take the long silence as a no then B) Ho hum more fluff for me to add to my BD codex then :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202088-order-of-serenity/#findComment-2421516 Share on other sites
Inquisitor Fox
I tried to look this up as I could in the last couple weeks (real life allowing) and my resources haven't shown much of ANYTHING for any of the minor orders. I've checked the current codex, the 2nd ed codex, and a couple Black Library materials (mostly the Inquisition encyclopedia thing) and haven't seen color schemes or fluff on the minor orders. Sorry to come up with nothing... but it does allow for self expansion nicely. Chengar Qordath
I know they originate from Ophelia VII and that James Swallow (spits) featured a Sister Verity from the order in Faith and Fire, though I haven't read it. The order's name did prompt Swallow to put in a gratuitous Firefly reference though, which probably made for one of the less horrible moments in the book. On topic, I would say go with whatever feels right and looks good. I would suggest something that complements/contrasts your Space Marines' color scheme. Bix
Thanks for taking the time to look though NP much appreciated :thanks: Chengar what was the reference if you don't mind? Im a big fan of the late lamented Firefly, though Im not sure that would cause me to read any more of Swallow's lack lustre work. And as you have both so rightly stated it leaves me the room to write heaps of fluff (which I have a bit of habit) and do a paint scheme to compliment my Blood Drinkers :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202088-order-of-serenity/#findComment-2421601 Share on other sites

Given that you're a Firefly fan, I think I'm going to have to advocate brown as the main color for the Order of Serenity. jeffersonian000
I'd go with brown tabards and gloves, over silver or black armour. SJ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202088-order-of-serenity/#findComment-2422381 Share on other sites

Oh man he's subtle  Thanks for that and for yours and jeffersonian's suggestions on colour schemes. Dare I say Shiny ;) I'll have a play around, Im not sure brown will go too well alongside my BD's though so we'll have to see. I had originally envisaged a midnight blue, but maybe with the silver armour done in a dulled Grey Knight style the brown could work. Hmmmm *heads off to muse*. Bix
Ok here's my first stab at a colour scheme. Feedback always welcome :D I've done another with 'Hands of Blue' but I think that may be a bit much :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202088-order-of-serenity/#findComment-2423322 Share on other sites
Gubnutz Da Grim
I like the scheme. Looks good and is different from the standard stuff so a plus there in my book. I would like to see the blue as well. jeffersonian000
Really, all of the Inquisitor models should have bright blue hands, while the assassins should be modeled on young female dancers (death cultist?). Bix
will there be an inquisitor Reynolds? priest Book? adept of the machine god Frye? I really think we've started something here and see it being put on the project list; there's a lot of fun to be had. "Nothing in the 'verse can stop me." Going to make a great Oath of Moment if Sisters have such a thing  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202088-order-of-serenity/#findComment-2429304 Share on other sites
