Multiple templates stuff

1] Last night I got shot at by a DR exarch with a gun that is heavy2 blast. When working out multiple blasts from one gun, do you roll the scatter dice for each template?

I think yes, but want a conformation of that.

 

2] A unit a multiple flamers, say Ork burna boyz, and they shoot at a unit of marines. You tally up the number of hits from each template and then roll to wound, right?

So for example, the 4 flamers each cover the 10 marines completely, and so they suffer 40 hits?

I think yes, but want a confirmation of that.

you are correct on both counts, with the one exception of if the blast weapon is also a barrage weapon, as then you would use the multiple barrage rules.

Note: Burnas in a Trukk are some incredibly dangerous units because of how the rules work. Since its open topped they can fire out of any part of the vehicles hull, and all of them can shoot without covering a friendly model. Thus Burnas who are mounted will tend to get 2-3 times as many hits as burnas on foot would.

 

Oh, and something else about the eldar gun- it can fire out of LOS because its a guess weapon, potentially ignoring cover saves and providing pinning as normal.

Guess is another term for barrage, so it would use the mutliple barrage rules.
