commander alexander
So this will be were I post the fluff I have written for my wolves. So far, I am set on my company being Harald Deathwolf's, but I am not completely sure yet. Just in case it helps any of the rest of you, this is where I get my names : http://www.vikinganswerlady.com/ONMensNames.shtml It gives origins, meanings and lots of other information. So here is some fluff I have written for a member of my wolf guard, Eldjárn the Bear Eldjárn is a giant man, usually going to battle with a wolf claw and heavy flamer. He does not get his title from his size, but rather his appetite for the honey-liquors he brews.... Eldjárn comes from a fiery tribe of warriors form the volcanic islands to the South-West of Asaheim. The warriors of this tribe are broad, tall men, usually going to war with great axes, mauls, and hammers. From within this tribe, Eldjárn comes from a long line of mead makers, some jest that is the reason he was recruited to be a wolf. Those lucky enough to drink his brews say they have and never will taste any better. Indeed in the wake of a great battle in which he had been wounded, all his fellow wolf guard could do is complain in the feast halls about the absence of his mead. A certain wolf lord, Sven Bloodhowl, happened to overhear the stories of his fabled drinks. The wolf lord sought him out, and upon finding him, the wolf lord challenged him to make him mead befitting him by the time he returned from the next battle. When the wolf lord returned he found Eldjárn fully recovered, waiting in the feast hall, next to him sat a barrel. The wolf lord was confused, the barrel wasn’t even as big as a mans head. When he asked Eldjárn what he meant to insult the lord with such a small barrel, he only smiled and walked off. A few moments later all that could be heard was a great howl coming from the feast hall, the wolf lord thinking he had drunken promethium. To this day, when you ask Sven what he thinks of Eldjárn's mead, he gets quite testy. Drinking Eldjárn's mead is not always done in the feast halls in times of celebrations. Eldjárn always caries a horn of mead at his side, a special brew that no one ever drinks, including himself. The only ones to have ever tasted it, are warriors of who are in their dieing moments, laid low on the field of battle while fighting bravely. After a battle fought alongside the Blood Angels, he wondered what his mead would taste like if he drank it from one of those cups the Blood Angels carried around, it is an ambition he has yet to fulfill. Requiem of the Wolf
Very nicely written Brother. I like the imagery behind the mug that only those about to die taste. A good kickstart to Valhalla. A good kickstart to Valhalla. Hmm, I actually thought it was poorly written, very jumbled.... But thankyou none the less :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202131-my-fluff/#findComment-2408460 Share on other sites
spjaco
Poor the writing may have been but the story was told in the format of a Spacewolf passing on the tail to another. Not a bad job at all. Have an ale. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202131-my-fluff/#findComment-2408504 Share on other sites

Hmm, I actually thought it was poorly written, very jumbled.... But thankyou none the less :cuss And for a first attempt at writing was not bad at all. As with almost everything in this world, you get better with practice. But most importantly as spjaco said,It was if told to a bunch of Wolves by a Wolf...Not all of us are born as Skalds lol. One thing to be aware of...If you continue telling stories...you will be heavily encouraged to keep doing so. After Fighting and Mead a Space Wolf loves a good Tale best. commander alexander
Well, thank you for the support. These are really more character descriptions, than fluff, but what ever. So heres another. Böðvarr the Iron-Heart Böðvarr is an Iron Priest that goes to battle alongside the great company of Harald Deathwolf. Böðvarr is a true wolf, seeking out the most glorious fight he can, especially with enemy walkers. When he rides to war upon his thunderwolf, Irontooth, it is a fearsome sight indeed, and his howl is cold as chain-ax descends upon the foe. In his spare time, he likes to tinker with his vast array wargear. If your really lucky, you just might get one of his creations. commander alexander
I have removed the pictures because they were distracting from the writing. If you want to see the models, you can look at them in the WIP forum. Requiem of the Wolf
Well...for one Iron Priests tend to carry Thunder hammers. If you are dead set on him having a Axe,then go for #4 or #5 in my opinion. commander alexander
I know they have thunder hammers, but I just think a chain ax is just soo much cooler, or at least I think it will be.
