Howling Nightwolf
Any more pics of the jeanwulf2k models? At the moment I have 6 of the models sold by Mrs_Velard, but single posed wolves don't look right as all the other figures are in my army are as unique as possible. You can try to buy model like this http://i051.radikal.ru/0912/b6/956ecf08b8f9.jpg here http://forums.warforge.ru/index.php?showto...p;#entry1306330 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202202-micro-art-studio-thunderwolf/page/2/#findComment-2426722 Share on other sites

Grimtooth
Oh yea, I don't care. But really, I picture huge sabertooth cat like tusks on TWM. Also the armor is a bit much, but crap SW believe in runes and crap to protect them, so why not toss some conventional stuff on their mounts. The high shoulders and saddle with bedroll all kinda tie into some SW out riding wolves. KeithGatchalian
I'm wondering when someone will be a jerk and say that according to the tournament modelling rules, conversions etc have to start out as a GW model, and have 50% of GW parts on it....so your thunderwolves fail. Go buy Canis. I'd bet money that will happen at some tournament.... Wolf Lord Mjolnir
Of course that will happen. I have had to weigh up whether I am willing to use space cows to represent Thunder Wolves in tournies or not use them at all. I choose to not use Thunder Wolves in tournaments and so buy the awesome Micro Art studio one for my collection. Some use the "Since GW didn't release a model, then the 50% rule is suspended." For everything else...There is ThunderCats. (White lions modeled to be Thunderwolf Cav) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202202-micro-art-studio-thunderwolf/page/2/#findComment-2427471 Share on other sites

Wispy
My plan is to bs them by saying "...Sure, the marine half is GW parts!" It wouldn't be a lie. Requiem of the Wolf
i would like to see some of these thundercat pictures my self.becouse i dont see a cat as a wolf unless there is some green stuff invulved. Believe me theire is a TON of Green Stuff involved. It pretty much requires going over the entire thing once, and a bit extra on the shoulders,as well as building up the muzzle to a more wolflike appearance. But it is doable and it doesn't look bad at all when its done..Just..they are puny. And that is fine with me if I have to use them for a Tourney...But I would much prefer using my MrDandy's...They are bigger then a Rhino and they look amazing. Hell even the HeroClix Fenris Wolf is bigger...And that one you don't have to do much to convert, just pop it off the gamebase and put it on a 60mm,Green Stuff a Saddle and Bellystrap, and then modify a pair of legs to fit it. King_Wulfen
ill say this as cool as that sounds. i dont have the modeling skill to do that so i might use the worgs from the lord of the rings line and see what happens with that. KeithGatchalian
I am actually surprised that it seems most non-GW tournament sponsors require GW/Citadel models. There are so many great models out there from other companies that it is a shame not to allow them. The rule should be as long as wargear is easily identifiable/consistent, and as long as the figure fits the 40K look, it should be allowed. There were some great Star Ship Troops light infantry that would have made great guard, and Wargames Factory just came out with some greatcoat "guard" that is fantastic. These figures and all types of Thunderwolves should be allowed.
