bushman101
I was wondering if people have been using/liking assault terminators. I like them over regular termi's, but the price is rather steep. Opinions? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202304-assault-terminators/ Share on other sites
JamesI
I don't use them, because they pretty much require a land raider and I don't have any Land Raiders in my BA army. D0dge
Assault termies with a Sanguinary priest in a crusader or redeemer has the potential to be a great hammer unit but points wise is very expensive....even more so if you add a Reclusiarch for extra killyness. SamaNagol
Always use them over normal Terminators. They are too good not to. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202304-assault-terminators/#findComment-2410549 Share on other sites
Whitefireinferno
I would use them IF I had a couple or 50 extra Elites slots ...:D But yeah my slots are normally tied up since Hq = seth and a Res so that means I need me some Psyker protection so that means a Libby Dred so now down to 2 a slot for Preists and then My faithfull Sternguard of firery death mmm heavy flamers and combiflamers. Aye, this is the way to use them. Someone on this board promotes that unit. The Priest stays inside the LRC to provide the bubble, while the Chaplain and 7-man Assault Terminator Squad rip apart whatever they are charging. Escaflowne_Z
Shooty terminators make a great anvil/anchor unit, and only require a priest for the added survivability against non-AP2 failed saves. No Land Raider required then. Choppy terminators are, of course, outstanding, but get expensive very quickly once you start adding in the pieces to make them a true "deathstar". Burningblood
I have had great use of that unit. 5 assault terminators, a Reclusiarch, and a sanguinary priest coming out of a landraider is great. Just keep that landraider in reserve if your opponent has drop pods or deepstriking units or it will get popped first turn. Brother Grimm
I say get them in a Land Raider and get it to deepstrike... honestly they'll never see it coming... BLACK BLΠFLY
They are dynamite charging out of a Stormraven or Landraider joined with a Priest and Chaplain/Reclusiarch. 0b  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202304-assault-terminators/#findComment-2412044 Share on other sites
