Darwinsfolly
How do you think the Space Wolves chapter would react if one of their former companies that has "walked to the 13th stone" reappeared from out of the Warp? I don't have any material on the Eye of Terror campaign so I don't know what the official reaction was to the reappearance of the 13th company so I'm asking here. I'm thinking of starting an army based on a Great Company lost in M36 while sent to fight in either the 5th or 6th Black Crusade. I looked here and saw that both those crusades went very near Fenris so I don't think that it is much of a stretch for the machinations of Tzeentch to "lose" a Great Company in the warp in support of the crusade. The way I plan on writing the history has the company returning from the warp acting as if a single day hasn't expired. In reality, a whole 4,000 years has passed and the Wolf Lord's name stone has long been laid to rest in the Grove of Heroes. I'm thinking of having the Wolf Lord, after some initial :cuss ? moments, decide that his company upsets the normal order of the Space Wolves and sends his great company on a campaign to earn noble deaths for all of them. Well, first they would be inspected by the Rune Priests and Wolf Priests thoroughly for signs of Taint. While Iron Priests went over every square inch of their Gear. Assuming no taint was found,There would be on hell of a Victory Banquet made to welcome them back properly. But I can see how the 4k year difference in perspective might cause difficulties and make the Wolf Lord want to go on his way. That sounds about right, they would likely become the 14th great company, or be combined with their original number. That raises the question of what would happen with the Wolf Lord. Overall, the Wolves wouldn't really have a problem with their brothers returning. They would probably have a few good laughs about "those bastards hunting vacation" while the rest of the chapter fought in the name if the Imperium, but nothing too serious. If they got combined,More then likely the two Wolf Lords would size each other up,decide on a contest to see who was top dog,and the one that lost would become Wolf Guard or Champion of the one that Won. And lord knows after that the company in question would be hell on wheels lol. As Necron god mentions its in the 2nd omnibus and they will only return when told by Leman Russ plus in the novel the Wolf Lord Bulveye, Axe Man of the Russ was his name...a good read  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202329-returned-from-the-warp/#findComment-2412336 Share on other sites
