Howdy Brothers Hows Your BAPCs coming along?

Recommended Posts

Me personally will have it completed by May since all I need to do is either make some Decals OR free hand some more things but other than that I am fine.

SO MY QUESTION TO MY BROTHERS , ARE YOU GOING TO FAIL SANGUINIUS AND REQUIRE PENITANCE OR WILL YOU SUCCEED AND EARN HIS FAVOR?

Good thing you reminded me, I had almost forgotten about my vow. Looking back at it know I realise that I haven't done any progress updates, so fail at that part of it. The good news is that my death company are almost finished, all I have to do is finalise how the cuss I am going to turn 5 of the Fleshtearer pads into the right size (curse GW and their too small metal pads). I also have to paint my Reclusiarch, but that should not be a problem with a week to go and all my exams finished.

The bonus part for me is that in this same period, I have managed to also paint 3 ten man assault squads, 3 priests, and 5 honour guard as well. Albeit also all without Fleshtearer shoulder pads. All I need to do is keep on track and I should hopefully have a 1500 point army ready by the time the vow ends.

So no progress updates, but far more painted.

Its not that they don't fit, cause they do, rather it is that they are smaller than normal pads and that bugs the hell out of me, and is forcing me to somehow enlarge 50 of the buggers using green stuff, plastic card and god knows what.
I've got 3 hands, 2 laurels and a bit of tidying up to do on the banner for my Sang Guard Squad. Might or might not do the lightning on the blades, but they're definately a reasonable/good TT standard at the moment. Reckon I'm good to finish (assuming I can find my WIP thread from a few weeks ago).

Vow complete! In addition to these unit I have also painted a Baal Predator, a TLLC Razorback, an assault squad on foot, and Sang Guard Squad. The hardest part of this challenge was not finding time to paint, but to paint the units that I vowed to do. As I got a few games under my belt I often found myself starting different units so that I could try them out and letting the units mentioned in my vow fall to the wayside. Anyway here are the finished products.

I finished my Baal Predator some time ago. Hardest part is keeping the broken sponson from falling off. Its an old Baal Pred so it doesn't have the awesome new sponsons. I didn't do any freehand on it because I decided that it is my first experiment in shading and highlighting and I wanted to showcase that and not some gaudy freehand design on this tank. Check it out in my albums.
I might not be able to make it. Only one SP to go (I'll call my two LRs done as they're virtually completed and take the Libby instead of the captain as I switched them in my list) but I'm at home ill and have no motivation or concentration whatsoever. :D

For broken sponsons, why not cut off the stick and go with magnets like this:

I haven't done mine like this but I thought about it because it is just so easy and makes the sponson options an easy swap too. It isn't even really noticeable and looks pretty good although I would probably paint them either black or a more solid red. I actually magnetized the tips of the sticks and the inside of the sponsons, it's lasted so far anyway.
