Aeddon
I do something similar 6x Wolf Scouts 2x Power Weapons Wolf Guard Frost Blade All with Melta Bombs Works great against pretty much everything! I'm working on a conversion for a Mark of the Wulfen Wolf Scout armed with a meltagun but I haven't fielded one yet. spjaco
I played an apoc game once where my teamate fielded his wolfscouts in front of my Ultramarine 3rd Company, yes, I said company, the darn points was that high. Anyway, he didnt know why he dropped em there with only a couple of small trees to hide behind but he did and when chaos came forward to attack my sector I covered those scouts the entire time until they stuck themselves into those tricky chaos marines as they came forward. Chewed them up right good. My opponent's partner threw his entire Ork force at my partner from the get go and it was a tough bloody fight for a good while. Meantime my 3rd company pounded the Chaos boys from a-far. Took out his Defiler and all but one obliterator in turn one and chewed up his Chaos Marine Squads. Even had a few attacks to loan out to my partners opponnent, knocked out a trukk and a deftkopter and a few Orks on the side. He got tabled, except for the scouts. I knocked the Chaos boys out and was starting to throw down against the Orks when time ran out. To this day I insist I couldve won in two more turns. Instead we ended it in a draw. His biggest mistake, and this was his first time out with his wolves, was that he didnt focus his Long Fangs on one squad of Orks at a time as they came up. He also charged way to early, not allowing his Grey Hunters to whittle the Orks down even further. He came without a single Blood Claw. To his credit he is know one of our leagues better players. ironking
I'm working on a conversion for a Mark of the Wulfen Wolf Scout armed with a meltagun but I haven't fielded one yet. I've never played with wolf scouts - mind you im still waiting for my 2 boxes of wolves to arrive, used proxies till now - unless im mistaken isn't it better to leave the MotW without a weapon? He attacks with tooth and claw? Rocknar
yes in hth, but as a melta is a shooting weapon there is no effect on hth. I don't do it but I might try it as you get an extra attack in hth that way. Emperor's Scourge
I've yet to try our WSs out. They're still in my otherwise empty battle force box waiting for me to scrounge up the cash for Chaos Marauder heads/arms bitz. HATE the way ordinary SM scouts look and the wolf scout heads aren't much better.
