MuGGzy
I wanted to see what other people have come up with to represent the Frag Canon?
igotsmeakabob!!
I cut off most of the barrel on a Twin-linked Autocannon. I have a pic of it somewhere.. http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/3101/img0343zn.jpg

igotsmeakabob!!
I drilled out most of the barrels, it looks pretty good.
Angelus Mortifer
I did similar to igotsmeakabob!! by chopping off the T/L LC from the new Ven Dread kit, then adding one of the double ammo drums from the Aegis Line Quad Gun. If I had more time I would have shaved it down a bit so it didn't widen the Dread profile as much as it does, but it worked pretty well. http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/xx54/SebJones_photos/Blood%20Angels/DreadFragCannon1-1.jpg (opposite profile) http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/xx54/SebJones_photos/Blood%20Angels/DreadFragCannon2.jpg
4RC71C FOXX
I am so inspired!! I'm going to have to make my own now!! :-) what a shame :-P One question though, with the LC does it require alot of drilling out of the barrel? or is it hollow? If it does need drilling what would be the best way to do so? Tool-wise? FOXX
Angelus Mortifer
The standard Dread LC has the barrels in 2 halves that glue together, and which are designed hollow. So if you used that you would only need to cut it to the length you wanted. The Ven Dread version sadly isn't hollow, and I had to borrow a mate's hand drill with 3/32 bit (you could probably go the next size up but it doesn't leave a lot of room for error, so I played it a bit safer). The FW Autocannons chopped down do look pretty cool though (hmmm, maybe if I run 2 Frag Cannons.... )
Gridlocked
I was thinking mucking around with a Grottzoka. Big blunderbuss kinda deal.

Gridlocked
Oh yeah that dread of yours also looks killer Angelus. Love the pretties stuck to it.
wookielips
I was thinking mucking around with a Grottzoka. Big blunderbuss kinda deal. i was thinking of a dread assault cannon with a vindi nozzle, widened on the end. its meant to be an extremely short-ranged storm of shrapnel, the smaller barrels belie this definition of the guns build and purpose, imo. I am looking at using some small guage PVC pipe and setting up a big side by side or 4 tube shotgun looking deal. When I read the description I pictured a giant double barreled .12 guage shotgun anyways.
wookielips
if you made a double barreled 12 gauge look, that worked with cracking barrels for reload, it would be the coolest conversion of all time
Brother_Dan'l
But do you go with over-under or side by side? ;) I used the Lascannon for my first and the FW autocannons for the second. The FW looks "realer", but is a real bitch to drill out enough that the bore looks huge to match the fluff. For the third :) I'm going to try plastic with some sort of magazine system, probably spare drums from the IG heavy weapons box. http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb219/Brother_Daniel/FuriosoAlpha3.jpg edit: added photo
MuGGzy
I got the pipe last night and settled on a Tri Barrel shotgun looking setup, not sure how I will represent the "feed" yet though.
Grazcruzk
I used a missile launcher arm as a base and a few chopped down las cannons for the barrels. merged the exhaust on the ml into two larger ones. I guess don't have a shot of that arm specifically but here is what I've got. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/loki114/warhammer%20stuff/IMG_1460.jpg
