BROTHER SPACE WOLVES HELP

WL NiteWolf

Recommended Posts

I currently have 40 grey hunters, 8 wolf guard terminators and 1 wolf lord.

Total of 1,174 pointd. Im looking to make a 2,000 point army.

I need suggestions on what to fill the remaining points with. I was think 20 more grey hunters 5 more terminators and long fangs with missilie launchers.

Any Ideas would be welcome....

Thank You

In standard 1500pt or 1785pt games, 30 Gh are usually enough for the army to have a strong scoring base. So if I was you I'd focus my resources on other troop types to help you with flexibility. You don't have any Fast troops, so maybe a landspeeder or some transports or a whirlwind and dreadnought.

As your army grows you can always add more GH at a later stage.

If you can't afford to spend the hundreds of dollars it would take to get you EVERY option the Wolves have available to them, then I would try to pick a theme for your army.

For example, you could be a dismounted force that overwhelms the bad guys with lots of troops and Long Fangs. Or you could get yourself a Land Raider and some Rhinos and maybe a Vindicator or 2 to make yourself a mechanized force. All depends on your particular flavor.

Iron Priest Strike Force*

Where'd you find that? Sounds vicious enough to be FUN!

It's a name I came up with for my Iron Priest unit; It is basically an Iron Priest on Thunderwolf Mount with for cyberwolves to accompany him, comes to about 155 points i think

If you're gonna footslog those lads, then a wolf scout pack and a droppod dread do quite nicely. Dread on turn one, blows up something shooty that would otherwise be killing your lads (i.e. devastators, leman russ, whatever) then gets stuck in. Wolf Scouts show up and become very helpful. Basically the idea is to tie down the shooty elements of the enemy's force so they don't kill walking GHs. Works pretty well for me, so long as the scouts come in relatively quickly.
Ragnar

15 Blood Claws

Land Raider Crusader!

Well, that's my favourite :)

I like Grey Hunters with Ragnar despite the smaller pack size. They benefit more from his rules imo. Regular Wolf Priest gets the job done with BCs.

Of course, since its your favorite you must have success with it so its certainly not a bad way to go.
