BigDunc
Can a Stormraven move flat out AND use PotMS to shoot a weapon?
Whitefireinferno
Short answer Yes they can If I am wrong then correct me.
Burningblood
Yes. (BA) PoTMS allows the vehicle to fire one more weapon than would normally be allowed. An even better question would be, can a storm raven move flat out and still allow the passengers to assault out? And hey bigdunc, aren't you a long time Templars player? Don't worry I havent given up on them. They're collecting dust right now unless I use them as Death Company while I'm getting used to the new BA dex. Can they assault if the StormRaven has moved flat out; p70 of the rulebook answers that one. Passengers cannot diembark/embark with a vehicle if it has moved flat out or is going to...I assume that disembarking also means assualts.
Burningblood
yeah that's probably right. Damn that would be cool. Talk about shock assaults.
DetholicHawk
The Stormraven rule "Skies of Blood" allows disembarking from the Stormraven by deepstrike if it moves flat out, but specifies you cannot assault.
BigDunc
Cool guys, thanks for the response and clarification. Yep BurningBlood... still hacking away at BTs. B)
BrotherTim
Did any one else notice (maybe it's because I haven't played in such a long time) the machine spirit in our codex shoots at regular BS and not half like in previous editions. Maybe like I said I have missed too much but seems like a no brainer to me!
igotsmeakabob!!
Same as in C:SM.
Fortunate Son
Just a quick add to this one... The Raven can move 12", deploy a DC dread who can then run and assault... That's awesome.
Dingareth
Yep, and with a 4" base, that's a nice 25-30" assault range. Not too shabby, eh?
Brother_Dan'l
It's can actually be further than that, if you have a short bodied Stormraven and you turn broadside to the target of the attacking DCF. SR moves 12" + 2" from base dismount + 6" move + 1d6" fleet + 6" charge = 27 to 33" range. Hell even the "normal" Furioso can go 26" on the charge. Seems like a pretty good reason to start on the board if you have first turn. Make it a Librarian with FotD and you can nail a unit 44" away. Sounds like that quad lascannon squad on the back edge better watch out.
JamesI
how are you moving the raven and then moving the dread?

Not true, Templars and Dark Angels I believe still have the old POTMS (they can move with their POTMS, but only shoot at BS2)
