Simo429
My long fangs tactics arent good if you have 6 and you take a wound would you take it on one of the special weapon long fangs or do you take it on the squad leader? jester262
personally, I'd rather take it on the squad leader than lose a heavy weapon Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202505-wounds-on-long-fangs/#findComment-2413084 Share on other sites
Brother Caleb
It depends. If you have found yourself splitting your fire regularly to that point, then take the heavy weapon. However, if you've been focus firing the whole game and have no reason to spit your shots, take your pack leader. Sarapham
You buy a naked wolf guard to attach to the unit and pluck him first. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202505-wounds-on-long-fangs/#findComment-2413117 Share on other sites
captain fabian
I agree with what the 2 previous Wolves said. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202505-wounds-on-long-fangs/#findComment-2413181 Share on other sites
GeoWolf
if you have the points, a wolf guard in TDA with a CML works well in the group, as well as being able to take on most wounds Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202505-wounds-on-long-fangs/#findComment-2413190 Share on other sites
captain fabian
Yes but it isnt too clever to make him take armor saves because you lose 2 shots if he dies instead of 1 from the normal guys. Frontline989
Personally I would usually pick off the squad leader first then move from cheapest heavy weapon to most expensive untill the unit is wiped out. If however they must all take a wound and roll for saves then whatever is left after that will still take any further wounds from cheapest model first to most expensive. Dunno if its the best approach but it's what I've taken to habit. Plastenarius
I usually kill the squad leader as well. Only in extreme circumstances do I really split fire anyway. I usually run 5 ML so I would really rather have the best chance of killing a vehicle, or putting some wounds on a squad, than a lesser chance of taking on two targets. RunningWolfFenris
I feel like the loss of a heavy weapon out weighs the loss of split fire, unless your doing it a lot Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202505-wounds-on-long-fangs/#findComment-2413891 Share on other sites
