Wolfsrage
I finished my Land Raider last night, and it actually came out quite well. It's a good thing that I am, in fact, the son of Vishnu. Otherwise, I may have ended up doing something like this: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/Wolfsrage/LR.jpg Oh wait... Brother Anvilus
what the....If it's anything like putting together a rhino chassis ( haven't put together a LR before ) then I' confuzzled by the amount of rubber in that picture O_O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202604-is-there-an-easier-way-to-put-together-a-land-raider/#findComment-2414440 Share on other sites
Wolfsrage
I wanted to be very sure it was tight. In fact, the seams were so tight that I couldn't get the top on at first. Took some effort... Brother Anvilus
well, no kidding If it's anything like the rhino, just glue the 2 sides together, then glue the midsection to 1 side, then the other, using the midplates ( in case of a rhino that "cockpitdoor-plate" ) and there you have your base :D I then leave the topsection not glued, easy acces to the interior + it doesn't fall out as the sides keep it in place P.S: I use pattex superglue ( don't know if it's the same name outside of belgium ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202604-is-there-an-easier-way-to-put-together-a-land-raider/#findComment-2414477 Share on other sites
Wolfsrage
I use GW's plastic glue. While their superglue is crap, I love their plastic glue. Like I said, the model is actually done now. I just hope the next 3 tanks don't take so much effort. I find it unnecessary that you have to glue five pieces at once that really need to line up properly... both inner walls, the bottom floor, the midpiece, and the back end. TrentL
Rhino chassis are WAY easier I've done so many Rhino's they are easy the LR was difficult because I like to paint on the inside so I had to glue 1/2 of it together, then build it and use elastics (Though not as many as you) now I can take off 1/2 of it, prime it up and paint the inside engine computer etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202604-is-there-an-easier-way-to-put-together-a-land-raider/#findComment-2414692 Share on other sites
Whitefireinferno
Meh the only part about a rhino that is easier is the main body the tracks are ten times more annoying due to them not having guides moulded into them like the LR tracks.
