Grimtooth
Anyone here ever get some respiratory irritation from super glue? I was working on some rhinos last night and accidentally got a pretty harsh hit of some fumes. I have been clogged up and snotty all day and at first thought it was just allergies, but am now thinking different. Azekai
Well, I don't know about an allergic reaction (you might want to switch brands), but I have gotten a bit loopy from being exposed to the fumes for too long. Make sure you are in a well-ventilated area, to be sure! Sangneur
I've never had either of your guys's pro'lems, but I do get sever eye irritation, so I have to wear goggles, and the fumes make me choke. Grimtooth
Oh, I am not allergic to the actual glue itself. I mean that I think with the hard shot of fumes I got last night, I might have like chemical burned my sinus' or something to cause all the congestion I had all day. I was blaming it on just normal allergies to dust/pollen, but remember this happening the last time I got a harsh shiff of fumes using super glue. Cyrox
Use the Gel type SuperGlue instead of the liquid, for some reason the fumes arent as bad plus it doesn't run  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202673-super-glue-question/#findComment-2415470 Share on other sites
ImperialReaper
I dont use superglue but revell plastic glue. I never got any raspirational problems but a long time ago I used to have all my models in my bedroom (when I was about 14 back then and only had one room) and I got a lot of headaches at this time. So today I pay attention to build my models in a big and if possible well ventilated room. I also keep them in my bathroomwindow for a few days until the worst of the smell is gone. In my room I always keep my models in a closed box. So you should probably be more careful while building your models since every kind of glues just cant be good for your lungs and your breathing. I can also just recommend seeing a doctor instead of posting your problem on a board. I know people tend to seek medical advice over the internet nowerdays but I prevere relying on someone whos medical knowledge does not come from google and wikipedia. Even if the BOS Brothers are well-disposed toward each other ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202673-super-glue-question/#findComment-2415511 Share on other sites

As I said we are all just concerned about the wellbeing of our fellow brothers :) Meanwhile I remembered having heared about those respirational problems. This however was in connection with those guys who like to sniff glue ( dont know how to call it you certainly know what I mean). I guess they also use normla super glue to get high. I am afraid you experienced something similar - just without getting high ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202673-super-glue-question/#findComment-2415601 Share on other sites
