Bah, I need to check lists better!

I so wish I could find a gaming group in my region that wasn't WAAC. Ah well.

Trust no one. Check everything. It's the only way to CYA at a major tournament. Treat your opponents as hostile unless proven otherwise at major tournaments.

I won't pull out a calculator on an opponent. He was about 50pts off. The problem I see was this guy had both heavies on his carnifexes which I am about 100% sure is not allowed.

Maybe it was two Tyrannofexes? If so, they are indeed Heavy Support and as no model exist for them, many choose to convert them out of the basic 'fex kit.

No, we exchanged lists at the tournament. He has two carnifex broods, one of them were his cc brood and the other was a shooting brood. The shooting brood had both heavy ranged weapons on them where the codex tells you to pick one for all models in the brood.

So during his shooting phases, I was taking two large template blasts and two small template blasts from his shooting carnifex brood.
