Alethe
I am looking to build a Word Bearers army and I'm just not seeing it as competitive. I have been playing WH40K for about 12 years and have always wanted to play Chaos but up until now I have been more engaged with other armies. Now is the time to make my switch and Word Bearers have always been my favorite but I'm getting a little discouraged trying to build an army keeping with the "feel" of the WB's and keep it competitive. I live in an area that is very competitive with about 40 very good players and I need to be able to stand my ground. Can you guys give me some input on building a competitive tourny style Word Bearers army? Iago
I am looking into some lesser deamons. THey are great support units, and most importantly, fearless troop. minigun762
I ditto both Jeske and Iago. You have a tiny bit of flexibility with going with 1 or 2 DPs or replacing Oblits with Defilers or Combi-Predators. I would consider at least one 2x Plasma squad for objective camping. If you go with SLD, I could start with at least 8 bodies, 10-12 is probably safer for most situations.
