Thanks for the kind words, all. It was a lot of fun to build and paint, though fiddly. He fell apart twice due to poor glue adhesion on his waist, lol.

I don't know where the Ultra pad is from, command squad? - It's an old, metal ultra pad, with an extra shield added with plasticard.

Thanks for the comments, all. I'm still waiting to get this guy onto the table. I've got one more Dread to finish (for a totalof three) before I feel he'll be worth fielding. Probably a Dread gunline around him, with a cheap Troops unit (5-man Tac?), and then biker troops via a Biker captain. Massive gunline providing cover fire for the bikes to zommy-zoom around the board.

It comes from the Dark Angel conversion sprue. Just one more crazy bit on there.

I love it :yes:, one thing I would have done though is done a line of space wolves grey up the cables , then another very thin line of white just to add some lumonisity, but it's your model it's your choice it's excellent either way.

It comes from the Dark Angel conversion sprue. Just one more crazy bit on there.

To be specific, it is from the Dark Angel Vehicle upgrade sprue that is provided with the Ravenwing boxed set. Also, the pertinent half of that sprue is included in the Ravenwing Bike Squadron (three bikers). There is another Dark Angel upgrade sprue (for infantry), so I thought I'd point that out.

 

I really like him. It's a very clean mini (something I like), and has a great feel. Nicely done.

Re: the Techmarine helmet...everyone is correct. I got mine from the Ravenwing Upgrade sprue that came in a Ravenwing Bike Squadron box. I have WIP shots of it in the WIP forum. The important thing is that I used a dab of plastic cement to weld over the Ravenwing icon that's normally his mouth grille, then drilled new holes with a pin vise.

I actually attempted a similar effect, but failed at it. It looked very surficial, and I couldn't get it to look like it was 'inside' the hoses. Maybe someday when I'm more skilled with blending or something.
