major_kittens
So, I normally dont post alot about my victories or losses or the like, but i felt I had to share this with the fang... It started at a GamesWorkshop birthday party in Annapolis MD. There was an event called something like "The Corridors of Khorne." This was an event set up on a board shaped like the khorne symbol, and each participant got to take any 1 HQ and had to make it through this tough survival contest. You start in chamber 1 and continue through back to 1 (like in the pic). Chamber 2 had 4 bloodletters, chamber 3 had 3 chaos hounds, chamber 4 had 2 bloodcrushers, chamber 5 had some kind of khorne spawn, chamber 6 had a bigger chaos spawn, chamber 7 had a blood thirster, chamber 8 had the skull taker, and when i looped back around, chamber 1 had Skarbrand. I had a wolf lord, on thunderwolf mount, SS, Frost Blade, WTN, Rune armor, Saga of the beast slayer, and 2 wolves. My wolf lord made it all the way to Skarbrand with only taking 1 wound, and caused 2 wounds on skarbrand before dying. And although i did not finish the survival, there was only one other person that got as far as me, only causing 2 wounds, of all the people that tried. Wolf lord Success 1 Afterwards there was another event, 7 vs. 7 of people with only HQs on a flat board. Across from me was a warboss, a nurgle champion with demon weapon, and lysander. although i had allies on my side, they got killed pretty badly, and left me to fight all three by myself (one at a time though, i killed them before there was a chance for multiple combats). I killed all three, and at the end my side won with just me and Gazguhl(sp?) left. Afterwards, Gazguhl and i were to face off, and gazguhl's str 10 klaw killed me after only failing 1 inv save out of 5. I count that as Wolf lord Success 2, because although i did not win overall, i killed more enemy HQs than anyone else. With this my wolflord will soon be named (he was otherwise nameless) and be the first in my army to get a Mr.Dandy wolf to ride on, he deserves it. I hope you enjoyed the beginnings of the sagas of Un-named wolflord (I would love to hear any suggestions for names from you guys, maybe something like "name, bane of khorne" or something like that. Prot
That's a cool story. Talk about a trial by fire. So how did this work for attacks? Did you get to rush in, or did the room's occupents? This sounds like a really fun idea. I could see stealing it for a local event. I like it. As far as a Wolf Lords, I probably would have used claws, but you certainly did well with the blade.... I think whatever you name him, I would have something in there referring to the slaughter of Khorne stuff. I mean, that is impressive.... Something like "Wolfy first name- Wolfy last name: The Slayer of 8" or something khornate like that referring to the massacre he survived. It would be something your blood claws would ask the significance of and the answer would naturally be of this legendary tale. major_kittens
The way it worked, was, after you finished a room you could move like normal, but when you got close/around the corner the demons jumped out and charged, However i always got a counterattack. Decoy
Sounds like a fun little encounter! I wish we had events like that at my local store, they'd get me down there more often. B) Congrats on the ... erm... Wins? A "Success" is a win, right? Skirax
So would your wounds rack up? Or would you regenerate them each chamber? Congrats on the awesome fight though. Jarl Bloodwolf
For a name I would choose something you like for his first name and then have is honorific be Daemonbane. So something like Skaar Daemonbane or something like that Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202843-wolf-lord-success/#findComment-2417660 Share on other sites
major_kittens
So would your wounds rack up? Or would you regenerate them each chamber? Requiem of the Wolf
So would your wounds rack up? Or would you regenerate them each chamber? Congrats on the awesome fight though. wounds stacked, so when i got to skarbrand i had taken only 1 wound and lost my other 2 to skarbrand. That is a good story...and yes certainly your Wolf lord earned a honorific after that. And as a proud owner of a MrDandy thunderwolf....you are going to love the model. Even though the wolf I got had lost a fang in transit,it also had this wicked scar across its head and down one side,so the Fluff has it having been wounded severely enough that it lost the ability to regrow the tooth on that side, along with its eye.
