Ironclad

Eh, they have to have some perks for playing Codex Marines instead of a specific other Chapter. We give up some versatility (Ironclad Dreadnoughts, Master of the Forge, Thunderfire Cannons, Scout Bikers, etc) in exchange for our special Chapter units.

 

It'd be kind of silly if there was an army that had all of the best things from C:SM AND of its own cool, special, ridiculously powerful stuff... oh wait...

I was honestly very disappointed when I found SWs didn't have Ironclads. Certainly we trade some things for others, trading out Ironclads just doesn't seem to make sense to me. Honestly just giving standard dreads the ability to replace the Assault Cannon with a second DCCW would have been enough. I'd happily trade in.. I dunno, Skyclaws or whatever for that.

 

Honestly given that they'd still be competing with Lone Wolves, Wolf Scouts and Wolf Guard I honestly doubt it'd be a huge bump in power for the codex. What's done is done though.
