Thanks Valerian.

Of the other back issues I have with Wolves in: WD231 has the 'Chapter Approved - Codex Space Wolves preview' which has rules for various SW units, Rune Priests, etc. I've also got WD244 with the Codex release same as US edition by the description. WD246 has several articles: The Great Wolf Logan Grimnar, Fangs of Fenris - Long Fangs, Codicum Imperialis a 15 page detailed article on the wolves chapter history and organisation, Tooth and Claw - a guide to the founding of a Great Company, and finally Ragnar Blackmane's Great Company with all that Wolves info it has a picture of a charging Imperial Guard on the front and Craftworld Eldar as the main tag line! WD286 covers the Wolves in the Eye of Terror - along with many other chapters including BA and DA. WD261 has an article on WOlf Scouts.

No. His bodyguard (Wolf Guard) followed him when he left, with the exception of the youngest member (Bjorn).

Nope, that's his bodyguard once (re)united with the VI Legion.

His bodyguard prior to the Alfather's arrival on Fenris called themselves the wolfbrothers.

Despite being adults, they then demanded to go through the full geneseeding process and only about one third survived. These formed the core of the 13th GC.

This was all covered in Tales of Heresy.

Sorry, but are the wolf brothers chaos or what? i aint ever heard of them

They are the Space Wolves on successor chapter- now lost or destroyed, depending on who you talk to.

They can mean either the single SW successor chapter or members of the 13 GC. Some members of the latter carried the name with them to the GC from their earlier role as Russ' pre-Imperium bodyguard and it was then adopted by the whole GC.

Because of its pre-Imperial heritage, it also used routinely in the Chapter for fellow Space Wolves.

This can cause some confusion, but non of these options are used to describe a fallen Space Wolf.

So is there anymore C&C on the Wolf Brother?

The colour of the armour looks bang on for pre-heresy and the metals have come out very well.

I think that the secret is going to find a subtle difference to distinguish them from their former pack mates.

Did you miss his hands out by accident or are they going to be a different colour like the Crimson Fists?

A unique left pauldron marking would help here and maybe the use of the wolf helmets for pack leaders (I have a few spare you could have if you go down that route).

The pre-heresy pack marking also seem to have been more brutush (even orky) and included three rather than two colours, so that may also be a way of distinguishing them.

Hm... I'll think about it, but it's difficult to improve the shoulder colours.

Thanks for the nice words, Durfast, by the way I've thought up some rules for the event and I've playtested them and they're pretty good, so how could I get them to Ulf?

I'll pick this up off thread if you don't mind

I have not, but will look anyway :( Was he the one using Thengir? Because I think I only saw one.

++EDIT++ By the All Father, that scheme is perfect! It looks like Black with dry-brushed Boltgun Metal over the top, but I bet it's far more complicated than that! It's amazing! I want to repaint the Brother now! :(
