Brother-Captain Devlonir
Well, the title says it all really. I decided to want to make a jump pack Librarian for the army I am building, but I am in need of some helpful information. The buyable Libbies all look great, but they will look horrible with a jump pack on. So I really just want some advice on what to use to make a librarian. I was thinking the DC box really has some great kits to make him look all special and nice and also has awesome jump packs. But to really make him a libby I'd need the shroud/tabard and the psychich hood as well and maybe a real force weapon and book as well. So, I am just looking at advice for great plastics to use. Metals are also acceptable, but they should be usable without cutting as I do not have the correct tools to cut metal available. So, thoughts/ideas/examples available anyone? Chaplian Silkor
For the shroud/tabard you can buy the Dark Angels upgrade box. There a lot of tabards in that one. Psychic hood will be a bit more difficult. I suggest you make one from greenstuff are chop a helmet to pieces so you kind of only have the 'raised' areas left (if you understand what I mean) Force weapon can be anything of a close combat weapon (power sword, power axe.... maybe use the handle of a thunder hammer and get some fancy eagle on top of it?) Hope I gave you some good ideas... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202925-building-a-jump-pack-librarian/#findComment-2418540 Share on other sites
Judaz
Heh, funny you would bring up the thunder hammer and fancy eagle Silkor. My Jump packin' Librarian is made just like that. DC box, used a pair of legs with loincloth and took the hammer arms, chopped of the hammerhead, glued on a shiny eagle from a razorback and made the shaft longer so it now looks like a staff. The guy looks quite ok. The only thing I really haven't fixed is the hood. Since I play an all helmeted army I just gave him one of the helmets from the DC box. I will try to fix a hood for him in the future, but since it's regular wargear you don't have to do it under the rules of WYSIWYG, or am I wrong? BTW, it really rocks to deep strike in with a full assault squad, sang priest and a librarian. Blood Lance those land raiders and pistol whip everyone nearby.
