thats a good point

I wish we'd have had a bit of cross over in the fluff of the two codex's or maybe something about Logan sending one of the wolf Lords to retrieve the Wolf of Fenris from the Corsairs

Cant believe they would chuck down their weapons and turn on their brothers so easily

I'm actually working on a bit of backstory for Skyrar's or perhaps another fallen company. They're lead by a rune priest/sorceror who was corrupted by tzeentch. He's an evil trickster-type character who decieved his brother wolves by serving them chaos-corrupted mead during a revel. His warband consists of himself and his lieutenants who are sworn to tzeentch and packs of brothers who would not forswear their oaths and give into chaos and so were cursed by the Lord of Change, turning them into wulfen-like mutants.

I'm not sure if that's the story I'll go with exactly, but I like the theme of an evil trickster luring his kin into a trap and then turning them into beast-thralls through sorcery. Such a lost company would make a characterful and formidable adversary for my loyalist space wolves.

That sounds great

There was a point in time where I was going to build a small force of Skyrar's Dark Wolves. I was going to use the ten Wulfen models I have as Possessed, and the rest as Berserkers, Chaos Marines and Chosen. For the rest I would have used normal vehicles, Dreads and bikers, but I just couldn't go through with it! I might do an evil Ultramarine army though ;).

On the subject of Dark Wolves

If you check the 'dex on p17 concerning the 13th company stone you will find that is is all to possible that they are wolves who have turned from the emperor and now fight for chaos/themselves.

The Strike Cruiser Wolf of Fenris was captured by Huron Blackheart and some members of the Crew turn on their brothers in the final combat in one of the 2 weapon galleries and as a reward Huron gifts them with command of the cruiser is also another option.

Honestly...I find it more likely that they turned renegade rather then fell to chaos...But every chapter has marines that have fallen.Even ours...Though I gotta admit, due to the lack of other support for them,I do like the idea that it's alternate dimension wolves from the Dornian Heresy *grins*
