Thev3ng3ance
I'm wondering if there are any tutorials on how to do this. Beside BLACK I want to see how I should do it instead of doing it and then finding out somethings missing or wrong. Durus
I'm not sure if you mentioned in your post what you want to do. I assume you want to build a chaplain out of plastic bits? If so then just take a look at the WIP and HoH boards, there are a lot of good ideas to take inspiration from. Thev3ng3ance
Oh I'm sorry I didn't mention I bought a Jump pack Chaplain in a blister. What I need is a video or directions on how to paint one. GuyKeefer
Oh I'm sorry I didn't mention I bought a Jump pack Chaplain in a blister. What I need is a video or directions on how to paint one. Prime black, paint purity scrolls a parchment color (kommando khaki or bleached bone), color the chains a metallic color, paint the other various doo-dads what ever colors strike you, and color the left shoulder pad red. I'll try and put up a picture of my painted mini. I have the same one. Thev3ng3ance
Could I use Bestail brown and skull white for parchment? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202974-jump-pack-chaplain/#findComment-2419322 Share on other sites
waitingtobedisciplined
Just try it and find out, that's the only thing that will really teach you how to paint, if it turns out rubbish, just strip and start again. Battle-Brother Maracthor
Could I use Bestail brown and skull white for parchment? I use Scorched Brown, Bestial Brown, Bleached Bone then Skull White for highlights, works fine. If you want to go Bestial to White just do a 50/50 mix inbetween. TrentL
This is what I did for mine: (http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll310/LanthierFamily/Warhammer%2040k/Blood%20Angels/DSC_0486_383.jpg) Picture2 Picture3 Picture4 Picture5 Prime him black. Go over him with black again to get what you missed. Then paint all the purity seals with Astronomicon Grey Paint all the Skulls with Deneb Stone Paint both the Purity Seals and the Skulls with Bleached Bone until you have an even coat Wash the Purity Seals in Gryphon Sepia Wash the skulls in Devlen Mud, then dry brush lightly with Bleached bone, and a VERY light dry brush of skull white (For extreme highlighting) The Purity Seals I used Dark Angels Greens, then highlighting with Snot Green, extreme highlights on the seals with Scorpid Green. All metal is done with Bolt Gun Metal+Badab Black wash, but the halo had mithril silver dry brushed after wash. All the "White" on the model is from Black an even coat of Astronomicon Grey until I couldn't see black, then just kept going over it with Reaper white until it was a solid white. Red was done with several thin layers of blood red. Think that's about it... its not the "Best" out there but he looks very good in person and definitely table top quality. As a side note all his Purity seals scripts are done with a Sakura micron pen Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202974-jump-pack-chaplain/#findComment-2420348 Share on other sites
