undeadfilth
Well, my local store owner seemed stoked about it and said that he wouldn't have a problem with a counts as army. Each different unit will be completely different(like repentia for death company and seraphim for assault marines). Its just something I want to have fun with. Priest33
If its just something you want to have fun with then go for it. Only place your going to have a problem with it all is some jerk players (like myself) that will call you out on fembots and official tornys where the people running it might ask you to not use that army. *shrugs* Either way have fun, tis the point of the hobby after all. Smenbash
I think it's an exceptionally cool and fairly original idea. Please post pics asap because I'm psyched to see them. Bugger the fluff! undeadfilth
ummm tournament officials will immediately be turned to the page containing the "counts as" rule in the Warhammer 40k rule book if they attempt to tell me that I can't run my army. So long as the model is 50% gw model and clearly represents all wargear then it can "count as" just fine. I'll get pics up soonish, alot of my models are still in the mail. Priest33
Hey sure go for it! Just letting you know my experences from bringing a counts as army to an official tournament. Just make sure anyone you play against knows exactly whats going on and you should be fine :) As an asside (think thats the word) there are 3 people who play in my local area that collect SoB, would get really confusing here haha. :ermm: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203052-sisters-of-sanguinius/page/2/#findComment-2422039 Share on other sites
undeadfilth
lol, I could see a sister on sister battle being confusing:P Anyone know if there is a sister chapter that does white cloth and red armour? thinking of painting them up like that. and suggestions on the color of the blood drops would be nice too. I was thinking maybe a shade of glossy blue? Priest33
Red as the major colour and white cloth sounds familar.. Apart from the Order of the Hospitaller's (who arnt a combat formation anyway) theres no official Red/white sisters army (I believe) so that would be best. As for the blood drop.. ever thought about purple? Morticon
My advice is to get as many BA/Sanguine banners and vehicles/etc up as possible. Much easier to recognise that way. Papa
Hi there, different idea you have re: sister BA army. You might could make it fly with as you say a Sister hood support effort, for as the fluff says many of our chapters are succumbing to the curse and losing numbers at exponential rates so fearing extinction. I'd paint them the same scheme as the bois in the army. Be nice to see some pics when your ready :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203052-sisters-of-sanguinius/page/2/#findComment-2422752 Share on other sites
Vilicate
I like the idea, the only issue I have with the army are the random marines hefting all the special weapons; cause it just seems to me that you're being too lazy to just convert them up from Battle Sisters. But hey, it's your army, you do with it what you want. It's just not something I'd build. :-D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203052-sisters-of-sanguinius/page/2/#findComment-2422905 Share on other sites
undeadfilth
well in the fluff I have going(in my head only at the moment) the men are pretty much lower classed save for certain very high ranked members like their head librarian(a light Mephy conversion) among others I have planned. oh, and I also plan on converting the sanguinar from st. celestine... only because the sanguinar's model looks really really bad.
