Kabuse
Hail Brothers! after a long time pondering on my favourite things in 40k and in an effort to stop me swapping armies every 10 seconds, I decided to create my own chapter using all my favourite things! I decided on the BA codex because Storm ravens and Deepstriking Landraiders are too cool to ignore mwahaha! Anyway so here is my idea: The Blood Dragons They were founded very early on (3rd/4th founding) records of the exact founding are lost. After almost being wiped out (down to 300 men) as they left Mars/Earth/Baal wherever new marines come from They were saved by a depleted Templar crusade that was in the area. The two dwindling forces joined up and together purged the sector of the enemies (havent decided on the specific xenos yet) The 2 forces decided to stick together to survive, The Templars gave the new chapter one of their recruiting worlds as a home so they could re-populate their chapter and get back on their feet, after a century or so they had rebuilt enough and the Templars left on another crusade, however the time spent training and fighting with them had left their mark. The newly named Blood dragons (named after the fierce creatures that owned the mountains on the planet they resided on) had taken alot of the Tamplars traditions in, their chapter master held the rank of Marshal and an Emperors Champion begain to be selected before battles. Of course as a BA successor they still retain the Blood angel traditions as well. Anyway to cut a long story short (as im sure you are all bored by now :)) They use medetation and chanting to keep back the Black rage (wether this works or not is unknown) most brothers that sucome either die in battle or 'Take the long walk' exiling themselves from the chapter to hunt the mighty Dragons of the mountains till their deaths. What do you guys think so far? any critique is welcome :jaw: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203090-the-blood-dragons/ Share on other sites

Kabuse
haha yea Judge dredd rules ^_^ I have added a few things today as well, The Sanguinary guard are named Templars out of respect to the BT that helped them out, they wear Tabards embroided with their house heraldry and Knights helms based on the 'Dragon Knights' of old. The regular brothers often wear robes symbolising the blood shed during the 'Morning war' the battle at the dawn of their chapters history that nearly wiped them out. Their home world is like a medieval version of Earth with one major modernised city with a massive ship yard, the Blood dragons recruit from the outter villages, holding a large 'Grand Tournament' where combatants fight to determine a winner who is then trained as a Neophyte. The Blood dragons favour Flame and plasma weapons and have a large amount of Stormravens, Redeemers and Crusaders (after seeing how the Templars used them to great effect) They also have a reputation for being very protective of the weak after they themselves were humbled at their very creation (they were almost wiped out due to their own arrogance and sense of invincibility) What do you guys think? :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203090-the-blood-dragons/#findComment-2421046 Share on other sites
