Skirax
...Njal and/or some old Wulfen models? I've tried to keep any Space Marine army I've had free of metal models, but Njal is so nice, and I've heard good tales about him. The Wulfen look quite decent, and would be good to use as MotW models IMO. A little help please? mitchell93
If you can actually find the wulfen models I would get the because they look great and can easily be identified by the rules lawyers. I have never actually used Njal so i can't comment on his rules but I'm not a fan of the model. CainTheHunter
The old or new Njal model? Old one actually is pretty good for ordinary RP. The new TDA model is decent - but (a friendly advice) You should paint it before attaching hands with runic staff, because afterthat the painting around the staff becomes pretty pain in the a**. Wulfen are good - everybody who is seeing them instantly recognise them as bearing the Mark. I am lucky since I am owning some 6-7 of them since the C:EOT times when they were quite cheap - I believe that buying them now is quite an expensive exercise. Requiem of the Wolf
Some on ebay are going for about £3 at the moment. I can't say for sure about the Njal model, but the character is quite nice and very useful for the points. As for the Wulfen...I personally prefer to take crypt ghoul arms and some greenstuff fur to make my Wulfen...But if you arent comfortable trying something like that then the Wulfen would be a great purchase. It really is easy though...and without a doubt cheaper. Requiem of the Wolf
Crypt ghoul arms with GS fur... I can see pic? If I had a Decent Camera I would be happy to put up some Pics of the Conversions I have done. Ummm...Let me see If I can borrow a Friend's tomorrow and try and get some Pics of them up. Granted they are still WIP as I haven't even managed to Basecoat them yet, since I am not entirely sure I am done with the converting...I have been debating giving them some fur around their neck and face...but I cant decide on whether that would be too much or not lol. So Far I have three done like this... a sniper scout with the Rifle in one hand, the other hand replaced by the ghoul arm claw and a light bit of fur around the wrist. a Grey Hunter with both claws and about halfway from elbow to wrist covered in fur. and then a second Grey hunter with bigger claws, with fur going all the way to the elbow. I chose faces that were screaming and all in all I think it turned out pretty decently..Hopefully can show you tomorrow. Skirax
Great, cheers. From the looks of the models, could you do the same with Tyranid arms? The ones with claws? Requiem of the Wolf
Great, cheers. From the looks of the models, could you do the same with Tyranid arms? The ones with claws? You might be able to do it with genestealer arms...its a question of making the wrist size match, and giving the arms a bit of a extension to reinforce the feral appearance. I suppose you could do it with the normal tyrannid arms, but I am not sure.
