First I give you the Chapter Master of my DIY BA Successors, Damion Wrath.

And a model I'm exceptionally proud of, my Chaplain Lemartes.

Note the battle honours on his right shoulder. This is what happens when you lose your whole squad to a Tau gun position, then storm said gun position and take it.

Comment and criticism welcome.

The mighty Sgt.Schilbach of Alpha Squad. I built him after a good friend of mine, who's happier with his model's service record that I am. Other than his battle honours, he looks exactly the same.

And his squad, though I fear much of their loving detail is lost.

@ Demoulius - The model in question is frightening on the tabletop. Survives things named characters rarely do, except Lascannons to the face, going toe to toe with Logan Grimnar and trying to stare a earthshaker cannon round down. But I assure you he's only pretending to be dead, luring the enemy into a false sense of security and all that.

Also, due to a slight mutation in the Tears of Sanguinius gene-seed, during the Transformation, Neophytes retain their original hair and eye colour and skin pigment. Only their bone structure is effected by the modifications during the Transformation and even then only mildly.

@ Brother Nathan - They're coming. I'm currently painting two armies, mine and my brother's Chaos Marines and it's taking a while. I'll be posting more pics of the rest of my army as it comes, probably changing the name of this thread while I'm at it. I just don't know what squad to paint up next.

@ Burningblood - Yes. Yes they are.

@ Captin Spiros - His wings are from the Fantasy range and they are Pegasus wings. I did a black base coat and then watered down some Enchanted Blue to give it that iridescent feel. It doesn't show up too terribly well here, but I think it looks fantastic on the table. I was aiming for the same feel as a raven or crow's wings, if you know what I mean.

@ VAGABOND - The good Chaplain's wings were actually really simple. I took Blood Red and painted just the sides of the feathers, then just cleaned it up with Chaos Black.

I really like Wrath, your CM... but nothing says "Important Guy Right Here" like him leaping from the body of a fallen foe, or some very impressive-looking rocks.

edit: I think the blue shows up on the wings just fine... though you might have wanted to do the rest of the wings on him (sword, shoulders) the same bluish black.

I too find him rather... Lacking. He doesn't seem to have the, muchness, that he ought too. I was going to make Wrath look somewhat like this delightful fellow here, but I didn't for some odd reason. I may yet build him, though I've never been one for models just to take up space on a shelf.
