Grey_Death
I finally started working on my Space Hulk miniatures after months of them sitting idle in their foam insert. When I picked up the box I knew I'd be going with an Angels Sanguine color scheme and that I wanted to make them available for both Space Hulk as well as 40k, so there would be some basing considerations taken into account. A bunch of plasticard, some additional materials and a few magnets later they were ready for their dual purpose life! Paint went quickly enough overall and started with a single model tester then moved to a batch of 4, if you're interested in reading up on how they were painted check out this article as well as the follow up here. I'll also be doing a basing article for those who want to know more about what went into the prep there! Shaun Carlin
Ahhh I see what you did there, clever bases. And the paint jobs are really good and neat
angel of justice
Very Very, impressive work the only gripe i have is that the angels sanguine are "fluff doctrinated" to never remove there helmet or if they do where a hood, but painting like that gets rid of any fluff gripes cant wait to see the other 6 terminators. pueriexdeus
Compliments to you. I would have a hard time splitting the armor as well as you did.

Lysimachus
Really, really nice job, Grey_Death. I love the dark shades you've used, gives them a very 'gritty' feel. Perhaps my favourite Angels Sanguine I've seen so far!
Saphos
Yeah, very nice. I like the Angels Sanguine colourscheme better and better.
Grey_Death
Thanks to you all for the kind words. I really am enjoying this project so far, and hope to continue it soon after I get back from vacation ;). A couple of things in response: I really did want to give a darker grittier feel to my models but without the use of a lot of the weathering effects I've made extensive use of in the past (my Sons of Medusa for example). Overall it feels as if I've achieved that goal, and the bases help to press that idea home. The un-helmeted head was a point of concern of course, I knew the fluff, but didn't really want to bother too much with converting these already amazing figures. So instead I opted for a slightly off putting skin palette. If you look closely he's very pale with an odd air about him through the shading. I used a custom violet wash, mixed from medium blue and flat red, on VMC Ivory to get that weird skin tone. Then painted up and washed lightly again with Devlin Mud. The eye was also done to give a cold almost dead look by painting the iris a pale blue with no pupil. This was all my idea for why they decide to remain hooded or helmeted in the company of others. Angels Sanguine have always been a favorite scheme, and now that I've gotten a squad finished, I am less apprehensive about halving a color scheme. The way I've gone about it and the colors I've used also help to simplify it some for me though, and were these models less detailed they would have been finished much much faster! I suspect that my Assault Squad will be a lot quicker to the finished product than these super detailed terminators were. Unfortunately, I've got to finish another group of these bad boys before I get that far!
