Serunox
The dreadnoughts are awoken from a stasis-like slumber.I read it in the 2009 codex of the space wolves. And of course Bjorn is awoken every century from his long sleep. So I guess they all are put in a sleep, well the space wolf dreadnoughts are. Freman Bloodglaive
In the 41st millennia humans can control time (at least enough to slow it down) and generate what they call stasis fields. Within this field time passes slowly or not at all so for the dreadnought in his stasis slumber a century might pass like a night. However since the dreadnought is only awoken when there is need of him, their half-life becomes one of dreams interrupted by violent action, a lifetime of endless war until some enemy proves strong enough to best their armoured might and they sleep the long sleep in truth. Unless those Dreadnaughts are Space Wolves,in which case they pass through Morkai's Jaws and take their place amongst the greatest Heros that Fenris has ever produced, fighting forever at the side of Russ himself. (After all, Not many say Russ is still alive...But in the WolfTime,he told us he would come back even from the Jaws of Death to fight at our side, and If any one could do it,It would be him!)
