TDA WG combi-weapon: Storm bolter or normal bolter?

Hi all,

the rulebook says that combi-weapons are bolter+melta/plasma/etc, and WG (TDA or not) can get that weapon.

However, TDA WGs have storm bolter as their base weapon. So, if I upgrade TDA WG's storm bolter with combi-weapon, then I get bolter+whatever it is with rapid fire rule?

Haven't seen any TDA units using bolter and got confused.

Its definitely a bolter with a combi-element.

You cant rapid-fire a meltagun however, or a flamer, even if it is part of a combi-weapon.

So yeah, Stormbolter OR a combiweapon, not both.

Wich is better, and cheaper, than chaos has it- they also get combi-weapons BTW.

It would be awesome to have combi storm bolters on terminators. But as said before i think that only the basic bolter can be combi. And even so they would not rapid fire. Sorry. As a matter of fact i was playing against some terminators yesterday and i vividly remember that they were combi-bolters.
Do you play SWs, are are you just hear for the ale?

I don't know if you realize it, but this, this was priceless <_<

Some of what you guys are saying, I'm not quite understanding. So, just to make sure you are all understanding;

-Terminators are Relentless, meaning they can fire any weapons they have after moving and assault.

-Combi-Bolters are bolters with one use special weapons attached.

Apparently we have an english major in the house... thank you for enshrining my mistake for the forseeable future :).
