countercharge?

This was brought up in my game last night.

 

Logan was in combat with my Calgar, getting his butt whooped as is proper :P and another unit of my cc terminators charged in.

My opponent claimed that he could use countercharge as the rule in his dex made no mention of not being able to use it when already locked in cc.. I was going to argue that you would use standard rules if no covered but let him have it..

where do i stand with this one?

 

also logan had preferred enemy, we were using it as re-rolling all failed misses in combat, is that right?

This rule cannot be used if, when assaulted, the unit was already locked in combat from a previous turn.

If its the counterattack used in the BBB, then no, he can't use counterattack. I don't have the SW codex, so can't say for sure. Preferred enemy is rerolling to-hit, so that was right.

The Counter-attack USR does not allow a Unit locked in combat from an earlier round to use the rule.

I believe the Wolf version is the standard USR.

Thats how the USR Preferred Enemy works.

Yep, SWs use the standard version, have since 5th ed came out...
