wookielips
hello all, new to the painting forums. so my question is kinda strange. i have seen a few mini's over the years, both here and on cool mini or not, that have crackle finish in/on the paint job, to make armor look ancient or very old. i have used crackle finish before when doing a faux finish on a customer's house, but i am unfamiliar with how it would be implemented, and what product folks have used, on minis. any advice or prior experience would be most appreciated. thanks! averykess
I used a crackle finish spray paint on the prow of my Dark Eldar lord's raider. You just paint the color you want underneath, then spray on the crackle paint and it cracks when it dries. I had a fleshy colored crackle coat over a bright red, made it kinda sick looking. Sadly, that raider is no more (doghemoth attack). Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203408-crackle-power-armor/#findComment-2424925 Share on other sites
