Nephilim Lord
These are the first mini's done from my Blood Angel Successor the Blood Wraiths. The Red came out very bright in these do to the camera and lighting, it is much darker and subdued in normal appearance. C and C welcome. Basing still needs to be done obviously. Splitting time between these and my Exorcists. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203498-blood-wraiths/ Share on other sites
von Griff
Awesome. They look great. Are you using these as Death Company, or regular tactical marines? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203498-blood-wraiths/#findComment-2426060 Share on other sites
Nephilim Lord
Right now I am debating. I wanted to make a white BA successor because I think red is a little overdone. But I have been contemplating making these the DC and the regular chapter Orange Black and White (look like the Knights of Gryphonne) except with White helmets. Not sure yet. Do not want Black marines they are WAY overdone. Any ideas? Chaplain Hiltraud
Hey they are looking good although the silver (especially on the backpack) seems to look a little odd...ever thought of doing like a bronze/gold as logos etc? And I really like the red fingers on the power fist..maybe incorporate that a bit more into the rest of the army? But it's what looks good to you! You're the one who is going to look at these marines so yeah... BTW nice chapter name, I had come up with the same for my successor chapter but I may change it now. I knew it seemed a little to good for no-one else to have to have thought of it! von Griff
In the book I think it says the Angels Encarmine use white death company and sanguinary guard. The Xs on the armor typically indicate death company, as blood angels are a codex chapter. But since you're founding your own chapter, it doesn't really matter. I think that red is sort of a staple color of the BA and their successors, so I wouldn't eliminate it all together. I would suggest keeping white helmets for regular marines, then maybe black/Gold, and some red for the symbols or boltguns. I think that would look pretty cool... White and Gold would tie together nicely to give a sort of elitist look maybe? In fact I have done collaborative Fluff for Chapters before so if you are interested let me know. In the book I think it says the Angels Encarmine use white death company and sanguinary guard. Still working on schemes. The silver will be the accent for regular marines and Gold/Bronze for Vets and leadership. they look like white scars mixed with blood angels. really cool Thats actually what I was going for, always like the Scars, just never built an army for them.
