CarlSkaven
This is my 1750pts list for the north american tourney . The Hunters of Asgard. lets talk list before tactics shall we... Huntlord Yorik Felltooth ( Wolf Lord on TW, runic armor, SS, Fblade , WTN , WTT ) Rune Priest JOWW , LLightning Rune Priest JOWW, Murderous Hurricane 4x TWC ( 1 std, 1 with Melta bomb, 1 with SS , 1 with SS/TH ) Grey hunters(x6) with meltagun and mark of the wulfen Rhino Grey hunters(x6) with meltagun and mark of the wulfen Rhino Grey hunters(x6) with meltagun and mark of the wulfen Rhino Long Fangs (x5) 4x Missile lunchers 3x Wolf guard all with combi melta and Pfist Dreadnought with MMelta and heavy flamer Drop pod Dreadnought with Assaultcannon and heavy flamer Drop pod ***** TACTICS ***** What really works with this list is that it saturates the ennemy with juicy target choises and life of death descisions! I deploy the rhinos close to one another ready to take the midfield! either my TWC deploy in reserve or behind the rhinos for protection. The first Dread drop pod assault behind ennemy lines causing havoc on is battle line destroying takns and making him rethink his battle plan to take care of that fast. Second dread does exactly the same on turn two! and creates even more terror in the ennemy's line all the while the bulk of the army speeds up the middle with the hammer unit ( TWC ) punching clean in the middle and getting stuck in combat ( MULTI-ASSAULT is very important there since this unit can crush almost everything in 1 turn of assault ) I've tabled some armies in 3 turns with this list and it works against most races except deamons... Super fun to play list with two Rune Priest for lots of dispel and some spells that can take care of unwanted beasties. Great Hammer unti in the form of TWC with attached Thunder Lord. 2 Dreads that drop pod in the ennemy's lines is always fun... for me! I personnaly would'nt want to face this tactic as a IG or Tau ... let me know what you think!!! ChapniK
First off this should be in the army list section Now onto the list. It seems fine, a pretty standard mech/ drop pod list, there are however things that i would change. I would switch one of the grey hunters transports from a Rhino to a drop pod and give then a plasmagun. This would lead to two things. First, to allow you to get your two dreads the first turn as you rally want that impact to be felt and one dread is not enough as it will be cut off and destroyed fairly easily especially against guard. Second to get a scoring unit to come down were you need it. Lastly, your Wolf Lord seems to have WTN twice is that a typo and what does std mean for the TWC? Good luck in the tournament Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203524-1750-pts-crusher/#findComment-2426336 Share on other sites

Good luck in the tournament yes it WAS a typo!! thanks!!! I only have two drop pods right now but as soon as I have a 3rd I'll be doing that!!! two dreads at the same time is a scary prospect!!!!!! Thunderhawk3015
Why have the talisman when the runic armor has the same effect? Aside from that I would consider getting an extra ML for your Long fangs for anti armor. Grey Mage
Why have the talisman when the runic armor has the same effect? Aside from that I would consider getting an extra ML for your Long fangs for anti armor. Because it doesnt. The Talisman gives a 5+ to completely negate a power targetted at the squad, Runic Armor gives a 5++ against psychicly inflicted wounds. DV8
STDs sounds like wargear you'd give Slaanesh Fast Cav... All seriousness, I think he means standard (as in standard equipment).
