What makes an IA complete?

Hey there guys, i have been working on my own IA for what seem like an eternity and it appears i have never really left the starting blocks. So whilst browsing the net for inspiration, i stumbled upon Phil Sibbering's site and the 1000 Chapter Index and saw my Chapter's name and colour scheme which led me to ponder the question, how much information do you need to make a completed IA? And when is enough enough?

Not to read tritely but ...

it's done when you think it is done

Revisions can only go so far or you will be revising forever.

Some have posted that since the 3rd ed IA articles (the model I presume) were between 2500-3500 words then around that is a goal. Bump that trash. It's done when you have finished the story.

Trub,

I believe a good IA is never done as you learn and can change things as time progresses. A real litmus test though, is when you submit it to your battle brothers and they can give you feedback. If the feedback is all positive, then you are on the right path. Submit it to other mates on other websites and see what they say as well. Who knows if the money grubbin' GW folks like your idea, they may "include" it in their folklore.

Just keep in mind that criticism is the key to growth. Some of our more "focused" brothers have a problem with that.

My two cents anyway.
