wookielips
played an all DC list for funsies in a local 1500 pt tourney. it was NOT fun. astorath reclusiarch 2x12-15 dc w jp and smattering of PW/IP i cant recall the list, but i can recall each of my opponents forcibly moving me away from the bulk of their army with fast moving flanking skimmers/fliers. i had a blast, cause i love DC. was it competitive? oh heck naw. my friend that i played in the first game flew 2 demon princes RIGHT by my force, on the right and left side, just out of charge range both before and after my turn 2. my DC chased those DP all game while he claimed objectives. i caught and killed them, but by then it was too late. game 1. game 2, i played ork horde. needless to say, the points cost per DC jumper does NOT convey well against 3x20 boyz with grot shield in front. i have a pic on my phone of astorath and 3 DC jumpers surrounded by over 35 orks. it hurt BAD when they charged me. 54 armor saves. yes, FIFTY FOUR. game 3 was against an armor heavy DA force. mass razorback/rhino/pred spam. he led me around and fed me sacrificial units while he did an end-around to snag the center objective on turn 5, which my DC had raged RIGHT past. siiiiiiiiiiigh. again, it was fun and i truly enjoyed it. if you want to be competitive....... bring them in vehicles and try your little heart out to wipe your enemy. you have no shot of doing anything else.
