Brother Captain
A conversion based on the WFB Engineer on mechanical steed mini. commander alexander
Haha, that would be very cool for an =][= themed army using Space Wolves and =][= Codi'. Cool to use as a thunder wolf mount. Brother Captain
I'm glad you like it so far. I'm not very confident in my conversion skills so any encouragement is greatly apprecdiated! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2429065 Share on other sites
Blackpudding427
WFB Empire models make great Inquisitors. Ordo Malleus Inq. come out really nice, because the WFB mini designers put quite a bit of detail into the hammers. That being said, can't wait to see the final product! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2429879 Share on other sites
Brother Captain
Update time! Purity seals, leather parts and sun and moon symbols are finished. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0005-1.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0004-3.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0003-1.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0002-2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0001-2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2430327 Share on other sites
lostsoul
Oh thats a nice idea, I really like it. Suits the look of the fluff from the Witch Hunter Codex, that strange archaic twisted spin on gothic renaissance. Looking forward to seeing the finished Inquisitor, more so after looking at your blog and seeing one of the henchmen, gorgeous paint work. Cool Dwarf too. Brother Captain
After much thought I decided to go with earthly colours for his clothing. Flamboyant colours would be too much fantasy and less grimdark plus I wanted to try some new colours. I'm pretty pleased with how it's shaping up. Let's just hope that inspiration doesn't abandon me as I reach for the finish line... Bigger pics and whatnot in my blog. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0007-1.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0006-2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0005-2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0004-4.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0003-2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0002-3.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0001-3.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2439864 Share on other sites
The Normish
Neat! Are you sure it doesn't look too much like a Warhammer Fantasy Battles miniature? Brother Captain
To be honest I won't know till I've painted the flack jacket, lenses and inquisitorial tome. Either way I don't care much since the conversion was mostly a way to justify buying and painting this great sculpt. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2439917 Share on other sites

Retributis
Would've looked immense if you'd put him in a sort of greatcoat with a big inquisition I painted on the back rather than the classical looking puffy sleeves, but still a very nice bit of painting Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2442608 Share on other sites
Brother Captain
I'm sorry for the lack of updates. I managed to catch a cold (in Greece, in the midle of summer...) and I had to take a small break from painting. I did some work today and folowing some advice I got about adding a few bright details to break up the overal dark tone of the model, I painted the targeting lenses of the psycannon and the horse's eyes bright yellow. I'd like your oppinion on that as I'm thinking of adding a final, almost pure white, highlight to these parts. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0006-3.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0005-3.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0004-6.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0003-4.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0002-5.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0001-5.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2446355 Share on other sites

Brother Captain
I rahter like the yellow parts. Is he going to remain headless? where's the bloody head!? Well I'll leave him headless as a tribute to the headless horseman... Just kidding! :P I saved the best for last so the head isn't painted yet. You can se the primed head at the first pic I posted in this thread. ;) @ nurglephill: Thanks mate. Brother Captain
Finished at last. Tomorow i'll just varnish it, add some static grass and make the obligatory CMON post. It feels nice to see the finished result after so many hours of painting. :D http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0012.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0011-2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0010-3.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0009-4.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0007-4.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0006-5.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0004-7.jpg All your base... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0013.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Daemonhunters/Inquisitor%20on%20Mechanical%20Steed/IMG_0005-5.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203713-inquisitor-on-mechanical-steed/#findComment-2451141 Share on other sites
