calgar101
The Imperial Bastion is a great model and fantastic terrain pieceand after building one of them it got me thinking. What if you put multiple bastions together? so i propose to you how hard or easy would it be? i imagine it would be pretty straight forwwards but since i've never done it before im asking for your help! Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203747-imperial-bastions/ Share on other sites
Tanhausen
What do you mean by putting them together? If you mean stacking (one on top of the other), I believe that is easily done... I have a yet to be assembled box (don't remember the name: the 2 bastions and 15 aegis line defenses), and in the pictures you can see how one of the options is just stacking them. Anyhow, I'd suggest not glueing them, so you can tailor your bastions from game to game. calgar101
Not one on top of the other but in a side by side type fashion. So extending it the sides by one, thinking about it it was bit silly to start this topic as it seems really easy.. in my head anyways :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203747-imperial-bastions/#findComment-2429095 Share on other sites
Durus
Here are some examples from the GW page. Side by Side WIP1 WIP2 Painted Assault on Outpost XIII. There was an article in White Dwarf in January how they made the thing. dan_mk1
I was brought the Imperial Stronghold for Christmas and after reading the above mentioned White Dwarf wanted to try my own attempt. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p177/susiemk1/IMG_1586.jpg http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p177/susiemk1/IMG_1597.jpg Assembling it wasn't too hard just have to trim a couple of the ends so they fit flush. Good luck with your project :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203747-imperial-bastions/#findComment-2429597 Share on other sites

THE GHOMA
buildng them side by side is relatively easy. All you need to do is assemble the model, except with one side missing, then do the same with the other bastion. Push the two missing sides together and you should be able to get a double bastion. Some conversion work may be needed to fix the gap on the roof area though Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203747-imperial-bastions/#findComment-2431668 Share on other sites

spu00sed
I've built a large fortress with several sets. If you are building simple line or square buildings then it is easy. However you need to think about extra supports and filling in gaps if you go for something more complex, such as a T http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b337/Sdimbylow/Planet%20strike/Fortress1.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b337/Sdimbylow/Planet%20strike/Fortress2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203747-imperial-bastions/#findComment-2432615 Share on other sites
