Requiem of the Wolf
hmmm.... BAAL predators. just give them too much saves that squad needs to make, and they will fail. It is better to give them 10 saves they can't make, then 30 saves they could.
Drachnon
I have to agree there, against terminator armour trying to drown them in saves usually is not cost effective. I'm thinking that opening it with either an assault squad with melta guns or an devastor squad with lascannons (the former seems to have more chance of succeeding though) and then try to finish the troops inside with 2 vindicators. The Idea presented earlier about I think it was Sternguard, with 5 melta and 5 plasma, split into combat squads as they landed in the drop pod, with the 5 melta blasting the vehicle and the 5 plasma rapidfiring the troops seems to be the best so far in my opinion. In fact...for the first time I have found something in the Blood Angel Codex that I am a little envious of. ;) At least that is assuming you can split them into combat squads once they are allready on the field of course. MayorDaley
RotW, the Sternguard combat squad when they disembark from the drop pod. I have used this squad multiple times, and all with good success. The downside is that they are fairly sacrificial. The Sternguard just have to have a juicy LR to target in order to make their pts back.

How much would that squad,5 melta 5 plasma sternguard in a drop pod cost?

How much would that squad,5 melta 5 plasma sternguard in a drop pod cost?  Around 300 without the drop pod, pretty pricey but than again taking out the land raider alone is gonna take alot of the effectiveness out of that army build  TWC is a bigger problem though, 2 wounds each, 3+ inv save (with SS), and 12" charge means even 5 plasma guns will be lucky to take down 1 before they assault

And trust me I love using them.275 points for three of them, all with SS and one with TH is a crazy good assault unit.
MayorDaley
The Sternguard unit costs 335 pts.
SamaNagol
TWC is why I take Death Company now. Counter Charge them. Feel No Pain and Furious Charge means you will take down enough wounds to reduce their effectiveness plenty after they've had 2 pie plates on them for a turn or 2.
