Mortanix
As a small side project alongside my nurgly chaos marines i've been building up a small slaaneshi daemons force, only really got the masque and a few troops of daemonettes and a soulgrinder waiting to be put together. With that in mind I want to extend the slaaneshi theme across all my daemons whilst using all the cult forces, i'm not sure how tournaments or even general casual players react to different models being used these days, would I just have to buy the standard bloodletters and paint them in my scheme, or could I get some sisters repentia and convert them with horns and chaos fantasy swords. I know it's not a problem playing against friends but I'd rather not have to double cover every unit in the army. raganrkob
You could go both ways. Either convert/scratch build your own stuff, which is usually encouraged and accepted in many gaming communities. an example can be seen here:http://z7.invisionfree.com/wyrmling_x/index.php?showtopic=5254&st=0 Or just buy the regular stuff and pint them accordingluyI've seen this done before in fantasy and it works really well. This guy made a whole tzeentch army, he just bought, bloodletters, daemonettes and so on and painted them in a tzeentchy fashion. The result was great, unified colour scheme throught the whole armyn and a cool theme (he had some conversions here and there). In official tourneys as long as they are GW minis and you can clearly differentiate one squad/unit from the other then it's fine the rest depends in your gaming group. Edit: remembered another nice example of cool, count-as minis http://z7.invisionfree.com/wyrmling_x/inde...c=7006&st=0 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203770-substituting-models/#findComment-2429364 Share on other sites
