Night Angels WIP

Recommended Posts

I decided to post some of my models. I swear my camera finds every mistake in them, but they looked fine to me. I put these in WIP cus obviously, they need some more work. Enjoy!

I could go into every detail about my chapter, but I'm going to spare you the pages and pages of information. Basically, me, Zynk, and my two buddies, Zeke and Thrall, were Night Lords during the Great Crusade. The Emperor decided he needed Night Lord assassins in the Expeditionary Fleets to strike fear into rebellious governors or stalwart xenos by killing their leaders or raiding their supplies. My buddies and I were 3 out of the many chosen. Our geneseed was enhanced in certain ways to aid us on our missions and make us a tad bit stronger than a normal space marine. After the Horus Heresy we decided to board an Iron Warriors ship, but wound up getting stuck in the warp for many millennia... When we arrived in real space, Zeke decided to remain on the ship and finish our original mission. Thrall and I decided to see what was going on in the galaxy, obviously cautiously because we were ex-Night Lords and considered traitors. In the next two millennia I built up a chapter, The Night Angels, while Thrall traveled the galaxy searching for Zeke, who actually got stuck in the warp again.

In Segmentum Obscurus, My chapter's home world is Daethos (I made the above image in Photoshop), a lush planet with ripe vegetation and wide open blue seas. The people Daethos are smart thinkers, scientists, and engineers which allowed the planet to house great forges in the planet's crust without disturbing the ecosystem of the planet. Among our domestic projects are:

1) Converting the planet's core into a giant generator

2) A space defense ring around the planet hooked up to the space elevators in our cities

3) Of course the Emperor's original plan was to take over the webway. We are researching into how to build a webway gate, but this is obviously very very hard and not much progress has been made.

On the foreign front, my chapter has grown to be great friends with the Space Wolves, so we often fight with them, but we are completely independent as well. Unfortunately, due to a recent massive conflict, my chapter is under strength right now. We are roughly 460 marines right now so we are trying to rebuild. Our main goal, unlike the Night Lords who struck fear into the hearts of the Imperium's enemies, is to inspire hope in Imperial citizens.

My Chapter Master (Me), Zynk Kaladin, and my honor guard. I need to touch them up and make the gold less intense. My character is also a psyker and often in his inner sanctum peers into a red book to see into the past. By understanding the failings of the past, I hope to guide my chapter. During the Great Crusade I was with the Blood Angels and the Thousand Sons and learned much from both. My sword was a gift from Sang himself.

My friend's model, Zeke. He has one goal in life, to kill as many enemies of Man in life as he can. Zeke was with the World Eaters and Space Wolves. Those chainaxes were gifts from Angron and he has the Canis Helix from Russ.

Unfortunately I do not have a Thrall model, yet.

The rest are some of my models:

I hope to make my own codex sometime just for fun. This is but a taste of my Chapter. There is much, much more... ;)

EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention my avatar is my chapter's symbol. Unfortunately, I can't freehand that on each model :\ Maybe a chapter banner?

I like the look of the chapter, though they might be confused for Crimson Fists at first glance (not a bad thing, I love Crimson Fists). EDIT: Nevermind, it was just the Land Speeder and Terminator giving off that vibe.

The photos are a little dark, making it hard to make much out. I'd love to comment more about the painting, but unfortunately I can't see much more than the general colors and such. Looking good so far though. Keep up the good work.
