Venerable Jazzman
Using RAW, a Dreadnought with Wings "moves as if he had a jump pack" (p63, WoS rule), so the Descent of Angels rule should apply (p62 Jump Pack Wargear entry) I can't see that this has been discussed yet, so - Do we think this is right/intended? What's the correct sequence to roll for it? Reserves>Psychic Test>Descent? Or test to see if there is actually a jump-pack, then see if you pass your Reserve roll and then do Descent of Angels? Swordbrother
You can't use a models psychic powers if it isn't on the board. -edited my uncalled for rudeness-
Aarkon
Not to mention the Wings say you move AS IF you had a Jump pack. You don't actually HAVE a jump pack. Which you need to have to use Desent of Angels.
Brother Kovash
The ruling for Descent of Angels is under the wargear entry, but there is no option for a jump pack on Libby Dreads. Sorry, but no Descent of Angels for your Dreadnoughts.
Venerable Jazzman
That's cool, three NO replies in four minutes, all with succint reasoning. I like the way this is heading :P It was a question I thought of out of the Immobilized Dread/Wings of Sanguinius thread, just wanted to see what we thought of the idea. Anyone got a Yes? JamesI
I don't see how this could get a yes answer without changing past GW rulings. No using Psychic powers when in reserves.
Jakobus
I'll add my opinion in. WoS only allows you to move as if you had a Jump Pack, even if you could use Psychic powers while in reserve (which you can't) I don't believe that the Power grants the DoA rule let alone the ability to Deepstrike. wookielips
nope, gotta pod him to get him dropping in. which is ok, cause its bigger scatter, but you cannot peril. so thats cool. no losing the dread to that. (course, expect your opponent to shoot the holy tar out of it....)
