TrentL
I'm just wondering if anyone has any articles, or video's on how one does the new Death Company eyes... they are infuriating me those tiny orbs seem to be like the eyes are popping out of their head. I'm not AWEFUL at eyes... for example: http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll310/LanthierFamily/Warhammer%2040k/Empire/Front-Empire-Spearman.jpg Its just I can't seem to get the DC eyes right with how they stick out ... and its really frustrating me, even leaving the area around the eyes black looks wrong because of how the face is modelled... and short of getting my pliers and "Fixing" the sitatuation by cutting off the heads of all my un-helmeted marine's I'd really like to not give up on what is proving to be very difficult for me to accomplish. and every so frustating. hmk17
The trick is to fight the instinct to "center" the pupil. Spend some time looking in the mirror and at some photos. You'll notice that a person's eyelid tends to cover about 25% of the top of their eyes, so only when you "open your eyes wide" do you start to look like so many minis out there. Centering therefore isn't natural. http://www.reapermini.com/TheCraft/12 this article really helped me. enjoy. hmk17
no problem. some friends pointed me to it, when I started to feel the stress of a lot of un-helmeted space wolves. Another good idea is to bust out the digital camera and snap some pics of yourself looking in the direction you want to paint your minis. Nice and easy to follow instructions. Thats been added to my save file for good.
